If there's any one question or criticism I feel people should actually be throwing Nintendo's way (as oppose to the usual complaints involving hardware or gimmicks) it's that one.
Wii U has the capacity and therefor potential for good online play, even great online play. Why the hell doesn't anyone take advantage of it, including and especially Nintendo?
That's a pretty bitchin' concept for coop multiplayer. My guess is it has no online though?
It's because people are angry and paranoid. A lot of people have been burned by EA and Capcom as well as other devs and publishers when it comes to microtransactions, so when they hear of Nintendo, a company not really known for doing extensive work with gaming and the internet, they instantly jump to the conclusion that Nintendo is sinking to the same low.
Of course if you approach it objectively, they're quite clearly not doing any such thing.
@CrossingEden
I'm going to pick these apart one by one.
1. I don't really give a damn what's considered emo. If emo was a crap word then fine, the design is not emo, it sucks. Not to mention how stupid looking Dante was in the teaser when he looked EXACTLY like the game's narcissistic director. I don't care what music it was based on, it was a crap design. He looked like shit in my opinion. If you have to get pissy about a subjective opini...
Okay. Great observation. One moment of infamously bad voice acting makes the original Devil May Cry pretentious. /s
Look, both our points are subjective when it comes down to it. But don't try to tell me that there is anything redeeming about Ninja Theory's idea of "cool." Kamiya's idea of cool was style, sassy one-liners and cool weapons. Ninja Theory's idea of cool is apparently emo hair, shooting pregnant women and being a smarmy, unlikable douche...
How is considering DLC post release a bad thing? It's not like they have day one DLC, locked it away on the disc and charged 30% of the game's price to basically complete what you already paid $60 for.
YES, Nintendo is doing it for money. That's the business. But guess what? There's a way to go about doing DLC without being a sleazy scumbag about it. Capcom has done that with locked away DLC, EA has done it with day one DLC and others have done it as well. Nin...
That I can understand. If there are any nearby conventions that Nintendo is going to, I would recommend you visit one so you can play demos of their games.
My honest opinion, look out for Wonderful 101 and Sonic Lost World in particular.
Really. Then why is it that last week everyone was saying how much better Vita is doing in comparison to Wii U?
That "we don't compare consoles to handhelds" argument is completely bogus. People constantly do it and it's because dedicated handhelds have evolved into machines with features and functionality quite similar to their console counterparts. The 3DS has the specs to play Wii games; so why not compare it to consoles? Same with the Vita which Sony pra...
Glad you enjoy your Vita. I'm hoping to get one myself too (probably after a price drop since I'm tight for money). I just want some more games that aren't already available on PS3, you know?
@bjmartynhak
In my opinion if I can access my game on PS3 I would rather get it on that platform. That way I can play it on either through cross-play. Then when I leave my home, I have Vita exclusive games that I can't play on my PS3.

While obviously not all fans fit this criteria, this is the same fandom that boycotted Modern Warfare 2 for PC and bought the game anyway. Food for thought.
"Devil May Cry fanboys never had cause to fear Ninja Theory’s reboot of Capcom’s beloved franchise, and although DmC’s bosses were kittens in relation to what came before, Bob Barbas is, by far and away, one of the most creative and innovative bosses in recent memory."
A Bill O'Reilly parody is innovative? I found it pretentious and stupid. Pretty much like the rest of DmC.
I think you misread the context of the blog. He wasn't saying Atlus belongs to Nintendo in the slightest. He was merely saying that if Nintendo acquired Atlus it would not spell out the end of all creation and frankly I agree. He cites Bayonetta 2 and Monolith because they are examples of Nintendo not screwing with someone else's creative endeavors. So in that sense, it actually does relate.
It's okay if you don't agree, but it's not necessary to misconstr...
Not that I agree with him but maybe he's an Xbox fan? That's probably why he would see it as good news.
The only thing I must ask is this; how much better does the PS4 need to do in pre-orders and in PR before predictions like these stop? It just seems so odd that PS4 has done so well and Xbox One has done nothing but piss people off and yet all I hear from analysts is how much better the Xbox will do.
I don't know, maybe I'm going crazy here, but these sorts of posts sounds like a bunch of crap.
Well said.
Although I really don't see why this is so upsetting for a few people here; it's only an additional $2 and as far as I know it's the only SNES game with such a price tag (in fact Japanese games on the Wii Shop Channel tended to be a dollar extra).
I mean, it's either this (therefor supporting the Earthbound series even more from a financial standpoint) or pay quite a lot more for a used cartridge.
Just my view. I al...
An emulator and ROM won't convince Nintendo that it's worth making more Mother/Earthbound games. Not saying sales for this digital release guarantee anything, but illegal downloading certainly won't do anything to help.
WiiUDaily is really not a great go-to place for accurate information, but if there's another source for this 170% increase in sales, I'll gladly believe it.
Edit: Not that I necessarily doubt a spike has occurred. If Pikmin 3 has continued doing as well as its first two days on sale, a spike like this would not be all that surprising at this point.
I rented this. Managed to hate it about ten minutes in.
You're getting six worthwhile games by year's end, so.
The Last of Us is more tense/thrilling than scary (though survival gameplay is most certainly intact). I think Shinji Mikami intends to horrify the player with this game.
