Gamecube was a miserable failure for Nintendo and broke around half the numbers the N64 made. They didn't go third party then and they are not going to go third party now. Get over it.
^^^This. The asinine and the immature fanboys outright WANT something to fail and that goes for any company and console.
Dude, I wouldn't care either way lol. I'm a Nintendo fan before anything else. :p
Definitely is a shame. I still hope they find a way to fund it if the Kickstarter fails.
@SilentNegotiator comment #8.1.8
Your general rhetoric has suggested otherwise, but whatever.
"720p games in 2013 are way behind on the times."
Are you even remotely aware that Zelda Wind Waker HD and Smash Bros. for Wii U are confirmed to be running in 1080p? I doubt they are the only Wii U games that will be rendered native in the next two years.
"All because you're completely unwilling to admit that Wii ...
Yeah, but what I'm saying is what the heck am I buying here? Why would I want something like this?
@edonus
Maybe it's because I have not yet tried it, but I don't see how a projector image would be more immersive, especially if it's being projected onto my posters and dresser.
Am I the only one who doesn't see the point of expanding the imagery all across a room with no flat screen? This feature just seems very... needless.
Bah. It's a shame if you ask me. The Oddworld games are amazing and considering Wii U is getting both Stranger's Wrath HD and New 'N Tasty, I'm pretty confused as to why a Wii U version of this game is not planned.
What does that have to do with the article exactly?
Uhh. I'm fairly certain Sony announced dual-screen gameplay with Vita before the Wii U even came out.
And I wouldn't call Wii U successful. I mean, I wouldn't call it anything considering we're not even a year in.
There was hardly anything factual about the comment.
"Today it's probably like $1 per unit which is a joke"
Yeah. That's factual. /s Acting like you know the ins and outs of otherwise custom made hardware is tomfoolery, especially since no definitive source has even put out what those custom parts do. And the GPU being low end is not factual. Not even close.
"You mocked a user... that's what fanboys do"
...
Out of touch in what regard exactly?
They're most certainly not out of touch with game development, or their handling of DLC, or even the handheld market. They may not provide the hardware you want, but the last time I checked they are not Microsoft. Now THOSE guys are out of touch.
Because apparently if a single product doesn't sell well or someone reports a net loss, that company is DOOOOOMED.
Anyway, Iwata has just reaffirmed what I've been saying for a while. Putting their games on other platforms is an incredibly short-term fix. The only way that will happen is if Nintendo stops making conventional gaming hardware, and I doubt that's happening anytime soon.
Pachter: This is what I think will happen and here's why (by the way, I may get it wrong). *makes some good points*
You: This is what will happen. It's factual and if you don't agree with me, you're a stupid poo-poo head. Also I don't care about sales because I'm a PC gamer and console sales don't matter to me. *makes inaccurate extremist points*
I believe he stated it right before the demonstration of a Wii game during E3 and since then it's been a bit of a meme. The fans love it, so why not roll with it? *shrug*
@--Onilink--
Okay, so I was close. Thanks for the clarification.
So, I just finished watching and while I don't really agee with Pachter on a lot of things, he did make some decent points here (shocking as that is). I'd say his view is a little overly pessamistic, but other than that he seems to have a good idea of the ifs, buts and whys of Nintendo right now.
Yeah, it's Pachter, but give it a view. It isn't straight up doom and gloom like the rest of the articles this week. It's far more centered and objective.
...
Tell me something, exactly what reply have you given me when you're not trying to convince me what a fanboy I am? I say something pro-Nintendo, I'm a fanboy. I say something more critical or neutral, absolutely nothing. Man, that doesn't seem one-sided at all. /s
Also apparently me pointing out that some random user on N4G has no real knowledge of the Wii U's hardware is me being a paranoid/bitter Nintendo fan. Or the consistent nature of your replies to any p...
Oh duh. My bad. Hope you enjoy both Platinum games. And fingers crossed for this game as well! :)
As far as I'm concerned, whoever provides the best games and features. Or whichever sells the most. On that point, your mileage may vary.
Based on the new trailer I'd say the story is a lot deeper than we thought as well. This is definitely shaping up to be a must-have on Wii U.
