Weren't people fine with having the Wiimote next to them when using the Wii's Classic controller? The gamepad is not as large and bulky as detractors would have you believe. I know, I've held the thing. Having it sit next to you would be a minor inconvenience at worst. The cables on these headsets better be lengthy enough for it.
Nintendo didn't design the headsets.
Not everyone has a smart phone, you know. Besides, multitasking is on the PS3 and 360, albeit limited. Why wouldn't they be improved in their successors?
Played it at Comic-Con last week. Games like Mario Chase and the Luigi's Mansion game were the more fun ones. Metroid Blast is also probably my favorite. The Zelda one not so much. Having to share a life meter is kind of annoying, especially if your team is not that good.
The thing is the 3DS DOES have a username system. You just have to input a FC in order to have each other on your friends list. And contrary to what people think, that process on the 3DS is similar to the 360 friend list. You just input a number digit code as oppose to a username.
Also the Wii U does have a confirmed account system. Up to twelve, if I'm not mistaken. As for the online account system you want, I don't know if they've shown anything of it. Personall...
Have you ever seen the FC system on the 3DS? It's not particularly bad.
"I wish Nintendo would do some HD Remasters"
So I take it you completely ignored Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 3D?
You can't really get Pikmin 3 or Rayman Legends on a PS2. Just saying.
Yup. That works.
I know my complaints are pretty redundant, but where's all of the negativity from this community whenever there's good news?
I would have figured that, at least in my own experience, I have to defend why I like the games I enjoy as oppose to attacking others for what they like.
@mafiahajeri
Clearly you never played it. I've never read a single preview that said anything about the gamepad feeling too big or bulky. In fact, I myself tried it last weekend at Comic-Con and it was pretty comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the grips on the bottom felt undefined and a little flat. But since the same can be said about a 3DS or a Vita, I'm not counting that as a very big negative.
So no. I don't buy for a second you p...
Surplus of idiots and trolls this week.
Wait, how does a CoD game running in 720p confirm anything about the Wii U's ability to play HD games in 1080p?
Are you talking about ReviewTechUSA? How the hell is he a Nintendo fanboy? He trashed Nintendo multiple times, including in his E3 response video.
@Picture_Dancer
I find it hilarious that idiotic trolls like yourself only seem to show up when negative news about the Wii U is posted. The moment there's good news about the specs, you morons are no where to be found.
@SilentNegotiator
No, but the added control schemes inherently gives the Wii U version more options. Just because you don't care for it doesn't mean others won't.
'Today, Activision confirmed to us via email that “The game is not natively 1080p”, which of course means that it’s the Wii U that will be able to upconvert it, since the system supports the format.'
They couldn't have bothered to show a scan of the email or perhaps a link to a source statement of some kind? I'm not trying to discredit this news, but after believing one too many rumors I try to authenticate my news as best as I can.
Doesn't that sort of thing happen all the time though? I knew people six years ago who thought the 360 was just another Xbox with a new shape, and Xbox 'slim' if you will.
If a person is shown a Wii U and they simply ask the question "What is it?", they will be told "it's a new Nintendo console."
Consumers are not that stupid. Some may be uninformed, but not stupid.
They didn't design the headsets. And besides, I think when they talk about select games having multiplayer chat, they're referring to being able to speak to other players in matchmaking. I'm going off the assumption that chatting specifically with friends with voice or video is more robust.
