No skin off my nose. Both games are amazing experiences. I'm not going to sit here and try to argue which is better. OoT was an amazing experience and Super Mario Galaxy was just as.
Seems weird that they would limit it as just an Xbox service as oppose to a "Microsoft/Windows" service that they could spread across devices. I dunno, that to me seems a bit more convenient.
@Abash
If Rockstar itself does not feel a Wii U port is worth it, they probably won't do it. Not every publisher can be bought out that way, you know. Rockstar is one of the most successful in the business if I'm not mistaken.
It's MGS1 remade with the MGS2 engine with rerecorded voice work. As far as I'm concerned, it's leaps and bounds over the original.
Dang. I take a few days off and only one dumb article so far. Man, I have cruddy luck.
Yeah, I concur. I can't buy all the launch games I want with the Wii U when I get one. Had the starting price been smaller, then probably. But either way, I'll get pretty much the same games you're getting (save for Black Ops 2 for now) and probably get more down the line as more games get released.
Nintendo should buy back the IPs that Rare owns. To heck with the developer itself; the geniuses behind many of the games we loved back in the day moved onto other studios.
The Sigma games are still pretty challenging. And I also thought that the Razor's Edge demo was challenging. I don't really see what you guys are trying to get at. If anything, I think it's worth mentioning that my word is more credible than yours considering I've actually tried the game out.
@Little_Suzy
Nice reading comprehension.
"And we've all played the Sigma games on the PS3."
Cutting it close how? By informing people or having the service ready? Just because the general public doesn't know the details doesn't mean that their system is not ready.
And Nintendo aiding in development on this version matters not... why?
Just to clarify, I was talking about the N64 Virtual Console games I downloaded. They play identically to the cartridges I played back in the 90's.
There's also the concern about people mistaking it as a console that only upscales their old Wii games to HD when it has its own HD games. Nintendo is very particular about a lot of technical aspects of games. I guess in their minds, Wii games are meant to be played in SD while Wii U games are meant to be played in HD. Obviously the only ones who know this are the guys at Nintendo, but I figured it was a theory worth thinking about.
That's pretty neat if true. Historically Nintendo never seems to do that though. I think they feel that if there's backwards compatibility, then the older games should run EXACTLY as they did back in the day.
I've played N64 games on the Wii and experienced the same exact frame rate dips and other such technical issues as when I played them on the actual N64. It's interesting to note.
The Comic-Con demo I played beat the crap out of me and a number of friends who tackled it. And we've all played the Sigma games on the PS3. If that's not a sign that the game is hard then I don't know what is.
I was going to say, exactly what console with backwards compatibility upscales ANY of their predecessors games? Outside of emulators, I can't remember it being done before.
It doesn't need to be a PC. That's not what I'm arguing. In fact I agree that a console cannot keep up with a PC on a technical level. The moment a console is manufactured and sent out, it's obsolete the moment the next big piece of hardware comes out. That's just the way it works.
This tired argument that ANY consoles being a generation behind as defined by their specs and overall power is ludicrous. Was the Dreamcast in the same generation as the Nintend...
There isn't any justifiable statement anyone can make to suggest that it is not next generation. It comes a generation after the Wii and to top it off it's more powerful technology than current generation hardware.
In other words, in terms of labels and logic, yes it is next generation.
I can see how giving my opinion and backing them up with facts is me "playing hero."
This topic is tired and the headline itself is nothing but click-bait.
No, it's because they could always port Dishonored to the Wii U at a later date. Or perhaps a GOTY edition.
