WCW vs NWO Revenge was my jam - can't imagine how bad it must look by today's standards, but it was fun as f#@k in the 90's... anyway, cheers for the replies - I'm sold!
Does it run okay? I've heard emulators can get a bit laggy... I saw a clip of someone playing Mario 64 and it looked okay, but it's difficult to gauge responsiveness from a video.
Either way, it's nice to know it works... I wonder if it can run games that required the N64's expansion-pack? I never managed to finish Majora's Mask and it haunts me to this day!
It wasn't - not even close... that said, a knowledge of the various locations should make a second playthrough considerably faster, though I assume the game features character-specific areas and missions.
Sounds like you do want to rain on my parade... won't work though - I recognize your name from your other, equally ridiculous posts and suffice to say, your word doesn't mean much to me.
Sho Shorry!
Smith recently stated that a single playthrough will take roughly 16-20 hours - possibly closer to 30 for people that take their time... I'm okay with that - I mean, it's not as though he expects players to restart right after the credits roll.
Have you gotten any games up and running?
If it allows me to replay the N64 games I already own (most of the classics) then I wouldn't feel like a thief... that said, I'd like to know if we'll be refunded if/when the app is removed.
Microsoft haven't spoken about the Scorpio's CPU, however, the vanilla XO's CPU is already overclocked, so I wouldn't expect a simple copy/paste job... regardless, the task of porting PC titles to consoles has gotten a lot easier since the XO/PS4, both of which use x86 architecture - certain devs have even managed to get XO ports running after just a few days of work.
The rest of your list is speculative - mods aren't a part of the base game and the file...
Microsoft and Sony's consoles will both support K&M configurations by the time Star Citizen releases (assuming it doesn't launch this year)... The PS4 lets the player use them in tandem with a conttroller and I'd expect the same of the xbox.
You said 'several' reasons... care to elaborate?
He (Roberts) said that roughly 3 years ago - well before the Scorpio... he's since stated that he would consider a port if consoles became more like PCs - which they have - not to mention a PS4 dev-kit was spotted on his desk.
I understand the dev team has a mandate to their kickstarter backers, but I seriously doubt they pledged to keep the finished game exclusive to PC... I don't expect a Scorpio version at launch, but I do expect a port will happen eventually.
@kaizo: When did they say that? I'm betting it was well before the Scorpio/PS4P announcements... wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft tried to get a No Man's Sky kind of deal - marketing (or straight-up funding) in exchange for a port.
Lest we forget, the Witcher and the Crysis series' were once PC exclusives... Never say never - if anyone has learned the value of that phrase, it's Microsoft.
@Colbert: Obviously the vanilla PS4/XO wouldn&...
Looks to me like they're using the money to build the most complex game since GTAV, and they're doing it with a smaller team and less than half the budget - obviously, that's going to take some time... as far as I'm concerned, the recent video (the one that showed two players flying from a space station to a planet's surface, where one player enters a base and sets up a mission while the other hovers outside in the ship) validates everything that Cloud Empirium are doing w...
The trial also grants access to 2 missions from the single player campaign... I'm still disappointed by Titanfall's exclusion from the Access program - it's trial would have fallen within the same time-frame as Battlefield's and would have made a month's subscription impossible to resist - that said, I missed the Battlefield beta, so a shot at the 'finished' product is tempting.
Sounds like an even re-skinnier re-skin... Rocksteady literally just said it's time to do something else, and you come up with that?
Arkham Asylum was basically an 'open-world' metroidvania style of game and I don't see Rocksteady straying too far from their Arkham template... look at the other AAA devs - R* have their GTA/Red Dead/LA Noire style of open-worlders, Bethesda have the Fallout/Elder Scrolls series (which are borderline re-skins), Naughty Dog hav...
I reckon Rocksteady would be the perfect candidates for a Dracula game - Batman's basically a Dracula rip-off and they've already got a flair for Gothic architecture... Hell, the Arkham template is almost ready-made for such a game.
Have the player take on the role of a young Van Helsing - an academic monster hunter with an arsenal of esoteric gadgets and weapons - as he hunts for the Vampire king across Victorian England... side missions could see the player using ...
In an interview at this year's E3, Tabata confirmed that his team was not working on a Neo version - furthermore, his ignorance with regards to the PS4P's specs suggests that they were yet to receive a dev-kit, which made sense as FFXV was scheduled to release before the October 'deadline'... now the game has been pushed back and a PS4P version is in the works, but we're expected to believe that the delay was made in order to polish a game that's been in development fo...
Which is precicely why it doesn't have a trial on EA Access - Respawn know a few tweaks won't fix things like the maps' design, the slower movement or the lack of cloud-based AI... they know that Titanfall 2 is fundamentally 'different' to the first game, but they'd rather push it out as-is - probably hoping to cash in on the original's rep and their newfound multiplat status.
Such a pity.
The XO version of the Witcher 3 uses dynamic-scaling, so 'more ram and a GTX 1080' WILL make the Scorpio 'version' of the game run at a higher resolution/frame-rate... Same goes for The Division, Halo 5 and any other game that uses dynamic-scaling.
Yeah, the differences won't be as noticeable as in a purpose-built Scorpio 'remaster', but those require a developer's time and money, whereas dynamic tech allows games to scale automatically - reg...
I figure the game will kill-off Emily or Corvo based on whichever character the player chooses, thus providing the motive for vengeance... Corvo's death might also explain the 'ghostlike' quality of Emily's powers, as well as their origin - that and I don't see why the 'Outsider' would just give such abilities to an Empress.
They've repeatedly stated that they are done working on the Witcher - a game that will have been out for a year and a half by the time the PS4Pro launches... But fear not (you're gonna love this) - the XO version uses dynamic-scaling, so the Scorpio 'version' will get a boost in fps/res, regardless of CDPR!
@Lucas: He appears to 'believe' that every upcoming game will be released on mobile platforms... earlier today, he suggested that GTA6 - sequel to the highest earning entertainment product of ALL TIME - would be a mobile exclusive.
O.T: I just got the original via GwG and I'm loving it, so this is great news... here's hoping the sequel isn't too far off, cos it seems like the years of waiting has been especially hard on folks who played the original.
