YUSSSSSSS!!!
I've lost count of how many times I've played through the reboot and RotTR, so it's nice to know the next entry is in the works... the alleged title all but confirms that Ian Milham will be taking the series in a darker, Dead Spacey-er direction - here's hoping for some tense, jump-scare ridden tombs to go with the puzzle/platformer types.
Yeah, they know we're not gonna buy that cash-grab, fan-service, niche as $#!t... AAA titles like FFXV, FFVII and Kingdom Hearts 3 are coming to xbox because it's profitable.
SE would have said if it wasn't releasing on xbox - like they did with World of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Builders and Star Ocean 5... the FFVII announcement was reminiscent of RotTR's, with it's 'first on PS4' line.
It's coming to xbox - just a matter of time... or do you actually believe SE would exclude a near-identical console with a 20mil+ userbase in favour of an unreleased, newly-announced handheld?
Hardly a 'trump card' though, is it? CoD, GTA and Minecraft sell far more consoles than any Japanese games and a multiplatform remake isn't gonna change that... I mean, it's not like there's an army of PS1 gamers waiting for FF7 to release.
The fact that neither SE or Sony have so much as mentioned the word 'exclusive' with regards to FFVII means it's a multiplat - besides which, I'd be VERY surprised if the first 'episode' released within a year of FFXV, whose season-pass will span the best part of 2017... and even if, by some miracle, 'Episode 1' does release before the Scorpio, everyone will still have to wait for the rest of this so-called 'remake' to release, which would severely limi...
Where did you pull 8.4TF? The PS4 pro is literally half as powerful as you've stated... 'no brainer' indeed.
Pretty sure the Holy Grail isn't supposed to make people vomit?
They obviously do - hence their appointment of Dead Space's Ian Milham as director, not to mention the fact that SE didn't wait around to see how the PS version does before green-lighting a sequel... actions speak louder than words, so I'd say the only thing SE have hurt is your feelings.
I am Jack's sense of righteous indignation.
Considering the fact that the next Tomb Raider is already confirmed, I'd say SE are satisfied with RotTR's performance - PS4 sales means more money, but 'Rise...' would have already turned a profit, which means the 2 years worth of fanboy rage (not to mention the death/rape/bomb threats) accomplished nothing... SE continue to make unorthodox business decisions (Episodic Hitman/FF7, Deus Ex's microtransactions, etc) and they'll continue to do so - regardless of a handfu...
So you're basing all of your doubt on maybes? Moreover, you seem to equate a game's funding model to what amounts to a criminal act - one that could be prosecuted, ala No Man's Sky... scams aren't exclusive to crowdfunding.
Look at RIME - wasn't crowdfunded and was basically a pre-rendered scam... Tequilaworks still haven't released any new footage or details with regards to the game, yet they don't get a fraction of the $#!t CIG are getting from...
That was pretty funny... Anyone looking for some really real, old-school Nic Cage action should check out 'Vampire's Kiss' - it's sort of like an 80's version of 'American Psycho'.
You overestimate me - I'm just a humble xboner who wants to play Star Citizen on the Scorpio... Tell me, aside from the delays - which are commonplace in AAA development - what is there to indicate that this game is not making progress? So far as I'm aware, there are various early-access modules and the devs are constantly giving updates and demonstrations - the most recent of which have been undeniably impressive.
You say you want this game to succeed, but I'm ...
Anyone investing in a kickstarter should be well aware of the associated risks - which are miniscule in comparison to those taken by AAA publishers - though I think it's fair to say that anyone who's buying in-game ships for 'hundreds of dollars' has faith in the game's outcome... it doesn't matter where the money comes from - I mean, it's not as though Sony will accuse Team Ico of scamming them if the Last Guardian sucks.
Final Fantasy XV, Nioh and The Last Guardian have all been in development for a lot longer than Star Citizen, but they're all due out within the next 6 months... and a game like Star Citizen was always going to take years to develop - Mass Effect Andromeda has taken just as long and noone's questioning it's timeline, so it would be ignorant (or insanely optimistic) to expect Star Citizen to be released so soon.
If it takes CIG more than 7 years to produce a '...
Are you suggesting that all unreleased games are scams, or just the ones that take time? Is Final Fantasy XV a scam? What about the Last Guardian?
Yeah, no $#!t - your point?
So much for the 'it's a scam' crowd... if they aren't impressed by this (not to mention the Gamescom demo) then it's time for them to give up on videogames and sign up for Elon Musk's Mars Mission, which - aside from being an actual scam - is likely to be the only 'space-sim' capable of offering a more detailed experience than Star Citizen.
Celebrity cast aside, this game is starting to look like all of my favourite sci-fi's rolled into o...
Year and a half? For a guy banging on about the truth, you sure do take some liberties with it... regardless, if people aren't happy with the price they can always stick with their XO, or just wait for a discount - either way, a Scorpio will still be cheaper than a 4K/VR ready PC.
Yeah, I lost count of the amount of times I asked the folks at EB (Australia's Gamestop) if they had any 2nd-hand copies... I'd basically given up on being able to play it, so here's hoping MS can get digital versions for some more of the 360's obscure classics, such as Nier or Blue Dragon - which is actually already scheduled for backwards compatibility.
What makes you think they won't? SE have earned a reputation for their 'questionable' business decisions (RotTR's release schedule, episodic Hitman/FFVII, Deus Ex's 'augmented' pre-orders/microtransactions, locking the FFXV demo behind a paywall, etc) and it's not as though they've waited around to see how the PS4 version of RotTR does before greenlighting a sequel... fact is, you have no idea how much $$$ MS gave them.
