What I understand is that Duke Nukem was passed around between a bunch of different publishers and devs throughout it's FIFTEEN years of development - an even worse version of 'development Hell' than what Final Fantasy XV or the Last Guardian have been through... No wonder it was $#!t - just like your comparison!

That's right at the tail-end of Q1 - which is when EA told investors it would launch - but it's not as though the art book wouldn't be held back in the event of the game's delay... N7 day will be telling.

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!

I'll finally be able to play Lost Odyssey... that deserves a drink!

If Forza's so 'easy', what makes you think Halo won't be possible? You really think MS aren't going to mandate that all future Halo games run in 4K on the Scorpio - that that won't be a HUGE priority?!

'keep dreaming' indeed!

In terms of gameplay mechanics, Star Citizen is probably the most complex title since GTAV - a FPS/MMO Space-Sim that uses a mix of procedural and handcrafted design to generate entire planets upon which players can land and engage with NPCs/each other was always going to take years to make... Yeah, it's been 5 years, but Cloud Imperium are building it with a smaller team and less than half the budget of GTAV (which took 5 years to make).

I'm of the opinion that the...

As someone who's fanatical when it comes to chronology, this is good news... I guess this means the time has finally come for me to play some Halo - not that I hadn't before, but it was just some deathmatches against some friends who spent their time jumping around with sniper rifles and owning me worse than I've ever been owned before, which kind of put me off the franchise.

Aint nothin' flat about dat ass - girl is STACKED... People complain about the new 'slimmed down' Lara, but I reckon that's got more to do with her showing less skin, as-opposed to her actual proportions.

Square Enix are arguably the best, in terms of creating beautiful character models - yeah, the reboot's Definitive Edition all but ruined her pretty 360/PS3 face, but RotTR's Lara is up there with SE's finest... and the ass-terpiece that you'...

Either you don't know what 'literally' means or you don't actually believe what you just wrote - (looks at username) - or both of those things... you're wrong regardless - there will be a difference and it will be noticeable.

For starters, the PS4Pro doesn't appear to be capable of native 4K for current-gen AAA games - so far the only titles to achieve this are indies and last/cross-gen games (which, judging by RotTR, requires scaling back on particl...

You guys and your 'essays' - I'll respond the 'choice cuts', but I'm mid-way through the new episode of Westworld, so don't expect a running debate...

"When faced with confrontation, she didn't cry or whine about it, she stood firm as a strong woman with her own principals." - and you found that believable?

"The new lara, the only principal I can find she has is that she feels committed to helping her friends...

New Lara is leaps and bounds ahead of the old Lara(s) - better in every single way (including sales)... Original Lara was basically just an Indiana Jones ripoff with enormous polygonal 'breasts' - the result of a character-designer 'accidentally' tripling their intended proportions.

Her personality and dialogue were about as one-dimensional as anything else from the 90s - people were more interested in the elusive (non-existent) 'nude code' than her ...

@Slacker - Huh? I read the article - hence my 'less than nothing' comment... Pachter didn't actually say Microsoft fans have an inferiority complex - maybe ask Overload if he read it?

That aside, Pachter's 'logic' relies on the assumption that Microsoft actually views Sony as a competitive threat, when I've always assumed that they were more concerned with the likes of Apple or Valve than 'little fish' like Sony or Nintendo... regardless,...

His Wiki says he's got degrees in business, law and marketing, but he says the darndest things... he once recommended that investors sell off their Netflix shares in favour of Blockbuster, which - aside from being outside his field of 'expertise' - was not good advice.

His opinions don't irritate me so much as they bemuse... I understand that prediction isn't an exact science, but I don't see how someone can be so consistently wrong without it affect...

You make it sound like they don't want to make even more money - EVERYBODY wants to make more money... They'll announce the next Red Dead soon - Westworld and The Magnificent Seven are getting people back into 'cowboy mode', not to mention it's only been 3 years since GTAV (2 since the XO/PS4/PC versions) and 6 years since Red Dead Redemption.

Yeah, it's an unusual choice... I haven't actually played Wasteland 2, but I remember it was considered the 'textbook' example of a successful Kickstarter campaign in that it exceeded it's funding goal within a couple of days of being announced, and the developers managed to release the game within a reasonable time-frame.

I guess Kickstarter just isn't what it used to be? Certainly it's image has been tarnished since Wasteland 2's debut - st...

Indeed - I've already assembled a crew of 5 local XO/PC buddies and we're all looking forward to invoking our convict heritage (we're Tasmanians, so 90% of our ancestors were crooks)... as Captain Poppinslops and the Booty Boys (who are every bit as rapey as they sound), we have every intention of becoming THE terror of the high seas - assuming our various Win10 gizmos (not to mention some less-than-stellar internet connections) are up to the task.

If I can conv...

The way death is handled sounds interesting - instead of simply respawning, players find themselves aboard 'the Ship of the Damned' - a ghost-ship with a ghost Captain, who has you and your corpsified crew-mates working their way back to the land of the living... meanwhile, your ship and all her treasures are waiting for you - or the bastards who killed you - to return.

Regardless of the outcome, dead players do get to keep whatever the have in their inventory, so i...

3 games? I can think of twice as many - The Flame in the Flood, Quantum Break, Inside, ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4 and Dead Rising 4... either way, I don't recall saying Sony fans have nothing to look forward to; I merely stated that games-wise, the rest of the year looks better for Xbox after S2Killinit implied the opposite - odd that you're not criticizing his 'attitude'.

If you took the time to read the comment directly above yours you'd s...
