"If you want Mario you'd literally have to purchase Nintendo" - I'm pretty sure a Mario game is being developed for phones... not to mention the various emulators that run older Nintendo titles - one of which was made available on Xbox a couple of months ago.
Edit: You disagree? Super Mario Run is scheduled for Dec 15... Win64e10 released Sep 24.
Personally, I'm glad Rare are working on Sea of Thieves as opposed to a Banjo-Kazooie reboot - which would probably better off as merc-work for the Yooka-Laylee crew... but it's not as though Rare are their only source for 'charm' IPs - The first two entries in the Fable series were basically darker, more 'adult' Zelda-alikes, and Molyneux said he'd be happy to come back once he's done with his current projects, which (knowing Peter) could take decades!
Crackdown is due in 2017, with a multiplayer component that features 100% physics-based, real time destruction - not to mention debris that doesn't magically disappear... that's what y'all are talking about right?
This one recommends making 'love' to several Hanar... 9 out of 10 Enkindlers say our hexagonal barbed penis' will do you right!
After binge-watching Breaking Bad, Hopkins actually sent Brian Cranston a hand-written letter in which he declared his performance as Walter White to be the greatest he'd ever seen... One imagines that was a factor with regards to Hopkins' decision to work on a TV series, which is unusual for actors of his - not to mention Ed Harris' - status.
With regards to videgames serving as Westworld's inspiration, whilst any gamer can see it's ties to open-world &...
@Dark: I like the idea of Scorpio exclusive games, as it leaves the door open for harware-intensive titles like Star Citizen... that said, this sort of thing would only start to happen once the Scorpio has sold enough to justify the development/porting costs.
Since when is paying more (a Scorpio-specced PC will cost more than the console) for crappily-optimised ports a better option? You say people can play 'literally' every Scorpio game on PC, but that's a lie - ignoring titles like Halo, Sunset Overdrive and the various BC exclusives, there are multiplats such as Red Dead Redemption 2, FFXV and Destiny 2 which aren't getting PC versions... As it stands, the Scorpio will be the best place to play these games.
Except Crackdown is still coming to XO... not to mention the fact that even the world's most beastly PC wouldn't be able to run Crackdown's multiplayer without cloud-processing.
Speaking of which, why would anyone want to pay more (Scorpio will be cheaper than a similarly specced PC) $$$ for poorly-optimised ports? Not to mention the 3rd party xbox games that won't be available on PC, such as FFXV and Red Dead Redemption 2!
The only game t...
I literally just said that no game is perfect - hence the existence of post-release updates... Patches that fix a game's bugs are acceptable, but cutscenes? Yeah, it's not as bad as No Man's Sky's 'missing' features - which are allegedly coming via an update - but it's definitely not good news for FF fans that don't have internet access.
No they won't - not unless you ask Hideo Kojima... just because a game ships with some glitches doesn't mean it's unfinished - just means it isn't perfect, but what is?
Eh - it was never going to be as fun as the real thing (en garde!)... that said, our $#!tty censorship laws have held up innocuous titles such as Firewatch and the Witness (which only just released on the AU Xbox store), as well as preventing stylised games like Superhot and Hotline Miami from ever coming out - all but forcing us to pirate the US/EU versions.
Phil Spencer said 3rd party devs won't be prevented from releasing Scorpio exclusive games... obviously Microsoft's 1st party studios won't make that jump until around 2020/2021 (when they announce 'Project Aquarius'), but something like Star Citizen - which was never going to run on XO - could potentially get a Scorpio port.
My cyber-brain will be ready by the time this game releases - I'm going to play it, then erase all memory of ever having done so, before playing it again and again and THESE VIOLENT DELIGHTS HAVE VIOLENT ENDS and again...
Cheap as chips on XBL - I just got American Nightmare for $3 and I'm pretty sure the full game is $6... best way to get a sequel is to buy Remedy's games!
That said, Twin Peaks waited 26 years to return, so here's hoping Remedy don't take that approach - though I guess it would be cool to have a sequel that's set a decade or so after the original... the game launched in 2010, so I figure Alan's wife must have left him by now (probably for Barry), sen...
Yeah, they're both BC - great games too... looking at these prices, I get the feeling I'm about to spend a fortune on bargains - Hitman, XCOM 2, Hyper Light Drifter, Inside and both of the Wolfenstiens have been on my list for too damn long!
I'll buy anything with Carpenter Brut... peeps should check out his/her/their 'Tech Noir' remix - waaay better than the original, plus the video's like a BMX version of Mad Max!
Same goes for Red Dead 2... Why remaster a game for use as a pre-order bonus if people are going to buy the sequel regardless?
Perhaps they could, but that's assuming that a higher resolution was Rockstar's idea of a remaster, which - given the numerous additions/refinements to GTAV - doesn't seem likely... then there's the matter of Red Dead Online's broken netcode, which still hasn't been fixed.
Not to mention the game's already backwards compatible, which reduces the appeal on the xbox front - even PS4 owners can play it via their sham of a BC program... the only real...
I wouldn't worry about it - if Red Dead ever gets remastered, then it won't happen anytime soon... Yeah, R* did it with GTAV, but that released within a year of it's last-gen counterpart, which (despite it's current-gen enhancements) makes it similar to a cross-gen game, at least in-terms of it's production costs - that, and GTAV is the biggest-selling entertainment product of all time, whereas a Red Dead remaster would only be worth a fraction of it's profits.
How's that?
