If the game is yet to turn a profit then a multiplatform release is a no-brainer - porting the game wouldn't have cost a fraction of it's total production and considering the fact that SE are yet to announce a PC version, I'm guessing they're happy with FFXV's performance... Christmas is coming and it's already on it's way to becoming the best-selling game in the series!
Even if that is the case, 500-650 thousand copies in 2 DAYS still makes it the fastest-selling JRPG in xbox history... SE crunched the numbers and deemed these games worthy of a multiplatform release - unlike Star Ocean 5, World of Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Builders and other 'niche' titles, which would have flopped.
Money is money, and SE are some mercenary bastards... say what you like about demographics and userbase - FFXV is a multiplat, as is KHIII, as will be the FFVII remake.
The game sold over 5 million copies in two days, so if these percentages can be extrapolated on a worldwide scale, then that's at least 1 million xbox versions of FFXV - more than enough to justify it's multiplat status... If these figures are legit, then I 'd be willing to bet on the FFVII remake coming to xbox as well.

@Ifist: If you're determined to play this game, then the 'moral' thing to do would be to wait until Capcom releases the inevitable 'DR4: Ultramega edition', or the 'Frank West Collection', then buy 'em second-hand... that way, you don't have to give Capcom any money.

@Mike: Backwards Compatibility was literally the most requested feature for current-gen consoles - should Microsoft have ignored that, or should they have simply abandoned it once it was implemented? What, you mean like The Last Guardian, Until Dawn and Nioh? No - Crackdown is still launching on Xbox One (the platform for which it was originally announced) with a Scorpio version coming holiday 2017... Did you even read the article?

There's a whole lotta people that would be DELIGHTED by Crackdown's cancellation - mostly out of fear that the game works as advertised... speaking of which, where's GameNameFame? Normally he'd be $#!tting all over this... don't tell me he actually gave up on his crusade!
They'll probably use the original Crackdown as a pre-order bonus - ala Quantum Break/Alan Wake - but I could care less what happens to Crackdown 2... I'm just glad they got David Jones back for the third entry!
Titanfall 2 and Watch Dogs 2 improved on their predecessors and guess what? They flopped, despite the fact that their first entries reviewed and sold way better than Knack... Even if, by some miracle, Knack 2 ends up being good, it will still sell so poorly that no one will notice.

Who said anything about changing minds? If anyone's looking looking to change minds, it's Sony with regards to Knack - a mediocre game with mediocre reviews and mediocre sales... I cannot recall anyone ever asking for a sequel - at least, not seriously.
You think so? Sony/GG already delayed the game from 2016, so the odds of them announcing another delay before the 1st of Jan are low... that said, I always suspected Feb 2017 was simply the furthest they could push Horizon without appearing disingenuous with regards to it's initial release window, so whilst I wouldn't be at all surprised by another delay, I figure they'll wait until early Jan before announcing it - April/May would be my guess.
