When upon meeting a new party character you have to fight them before they will join up with you. Of course as you battle them they are super strong with a lot of cool spells and nice moves, however once they join your party they suddenly become level 1 losers, what is that about anyway?
I just wonder how her son would feel about all of this. What made him join the army, maybe he just wanted to get out from under such a controlling mother... could be wrong, but I do wonder.

I agree, I really enjoyed Alan Wake. I loved the atmosphere and the story a lot. The use of light was different and enjoyable. I even liked Barry although he was a bit over the top at time. It will be sad if the series dies out due to poor sales.
Well, I have to admit when you look at the current MS upcoming games list it really does look a bit bleak. At the moment, I don't think MS is thinking about the hardcore gamers much. They are a bit single minded when it comes to Kinect, and if it fails I think it will be a very big failure for them. Borderlands, Fallout 3 and Mass Effect are all excellent games. I personally enjoyed them much more then LBP but I am not really a platform fan, so when I got over the cute character that is sackboy I was pretty much done. I wish FF would find its way back to its roots, although I don't hate any FF game, I do expect better from the series, and please give me back my towns to explore, because towns and treasure are the best parts of JRPG games in my opinion.

The only thing I don't like about Fable games is how butt ugly all the NPC are, and they actually expect you to want to marry one of those creepy looking characters. Aside from that I enjoyed both games.
