Cool. Thanks for the video, KnaveX. It's a lot more helpful than random disagrees. I had been sort of avoiding gameplay videos of the SP campaign so as not to ruin the game when it comes out. Didn't even know Elena had been confirmed yet.
Half way through the vid. you can see Elena pointing a gun at Drake. What's that about?
Whoa. The new Shinten game only got an 8. Don't most reviewers generally soil their pants over that series?
In the article poster's defense, N4G rules state you're supposed to use the exact same title as the original article. This wouldn't be an issue if people were actually reading the story and not just the headline.
...oh well.
They can only really make it as well as their bosses allow them too. If the management didn't hire enough people to do the project, if they allocated too much money to one department, but not enough to another, if they imposed ridiculous deadlines on their staff or if they forced their team to work with sub-par technology for financial or legal reasons, then it's perfectly possible that a great team could make a terrible game.
Those are only a few examples of things that could ...
That's actually a really good point when it comes to fighting games, BUT same day DLC is still BS. The content is done. Why not slap it on a disc with the rest of the game?
I really doubt if the guys in charge of developing FFXIII have anything at all to do with releasing some old PS1 game on PSN. Seems to me like the only people who really have to put in any work to get that done would be the legal department. They could probably leave an intern or something in charge of actually ripping the game data and uploading it to PSN.
@Grashopper: He means the "original" PS1 remake, not the original NES game. Apparently there was an even more enhanced remake released later for the PSP.
Incidentally, I'm getting a PSP for my birthday and I noticed you can get FFII and apparently FFI for the PSP. Are they decent? I never really played any of those games before FFVI.
I was pretty down on this game for a long time given the spotty history of Batman games, but I got to try it out at Best Buy and I'm genuinely excited for it now. The combat is fun and fluid and it looks amazing. Didn't get much of a feel for the stealth elements or anything, but I'm sure it will pan out.
Oh yeah, you can target individual body parts on your enemies and huck batarangs at them mid-combat. It's not even that hard to pull off and it feels AWESOME.
Okay, so Sony manages to save money on packaging and shipping, they don't have to split profits with brick and mortar retailers AND they effectively eliminate lost profits through used game sales. You guys don't see how it might be even a little unfair for them to charge the same price for downloads as UMDs?
I'm not saying we need to start some stupid "boycott Sony" campaign or run off and sign a ridiculous petition, but if you honestly can't see how this is screwing ov...
Group hug "achievement"? Is that like a trophy? ;)
Lol. You sound like you know what your talking about so I'll take you at your word, but damn dude, that first post might as well have been in Chinese.
Ex:
"Also DRG/SAM can solo Skillchain and DRG/BLU solo is so fun."
Wtf does that mean? Obviously I'm something of an MMO newb. Next year might change all that, though. If DCU:Online doesn't turn out well I may just have to try FF14. Then I can start talking in acronyms too. :)
...
Not that I really care all that much either way, but why would some game store that gave them a copy of the game a bit early have a pre-release version with lowered texture quality? They don't just send out unfinished games to random stores in Florida or whatever.
Looks solid. I wonder how they'll work in the bullet time stuff during multiplayer matches. Maybe they'll use it as a special power up or something.
Wow, you take drugz for reals? Zomg! I'll bet real life gurlz let you touch their bewbs too.
Seriously, dude, grow up. If you feel the need to advertise what a hardass you are, a video game website might not be the best outlet.
I was thinking the same thing. I mean it's pretty obvious that advertising=sales, but maybe this is what it will take for Sony to finally get that through their heads this gen. I look forward to seeing GoW3 and Uncharted 2 and whatever else they've got coming up soon advertised heavily prior to release.
Wow, he's pretty bald now, eh? Still looks pretty badass, though. Maybe even moreso than before.
Ummm...hooray?
No, seriously, I have no idea what any of those games are. $20 says none of them see release outside of Japan.
It's been planned as a trilogy from day one. They've had the story for Creed 3 laid out since the original came out. Now they're probably just starting to talk about new gameplay elements they could work in and tossing together some concept art and stuff.
It already looks a lot more interesting than The Conduit, imo, but I'm more of a horror fan anyway. The guns could use a little sprucing up, but maybe the story they're telling only allows for real world weapons.
One thing that seems fairly obvious from the screens is that they're NOT just throwing a horror skin on The Conduit. Thus far all the screens seem to focus on large mobs of weaker enemies without ranged attacks. Could be a cool change of pace.
