@Jace: Yup. 11lbs, I believe, which would make it even heavier than the original Xbox. Hardly portable. The actual size isn't too bad, though. It looks roughly the same size as my 360.
Oh yeah. I think that game has "sleeper hit" written all over it.
VERY similar, but I'm going to say this is a coincidence. It's not like Rockstar couldn't just throw a bunch of money at their design department to come up with their own design.
Why would they intentionally rip-off some old Midway game? it doesn't make sense.
Buried for retarded 17 page article format. Oh...we can't do that here? Damn.
I haven't played Evony myself, but from what I understand it isn't text based at all.
@La Chance: Try not to make it sound like everyone who has a PS3 is some fanatical Sony zealot who *needs* to trash talk the 360. It makes you sound like...well, you know.
Anyone care to explain what the EXE series is for us non Nintendites?
So I can still beat down my opponents with a 10 inch black rubber dildo? Solid.
Edit: Lol@me. Jumped the gun. Made a stupid comment. Move along. Nothing to see here.
Meh. It's just internweb speak. Obviously he wasn't being entirely serious.
Seriously, Cthulhu? Why waste a good username and avatar on some stupid account that's just going to get banned? Kids these days...
I was thinking the same thing. It sucks, but it's not like there's a lack of games coming out for Christmas. Maybe that had something to do with the delay? Ahhh, conspiracies...
Anyway, a good game in 2009 will still be a good game in 2010.
I guess if people are still buying the hardware/software, they might as well keep supporting it, but I just can't bring myself to spend money on a PS2 game anymore now that I have 2 HD consoles to keep me occupied.
Once in a while a new PS2 game comes out that looks cool (which I could play on my 60 gig), but I can never shake the feeling that I should just wait for the HD version.
Ooh, free? I remember messing about with Daggerfall a bit when it came out. Riding horses and such, but I never really got into the Elder Scrolls until I tried Morrowind. Since then these games probably sucked up around 500 hours of my life. Do I dare try out Daggerfall? Eep.
I quite liked the soundtrack in Crackdown. Sure they tried to please everyone and ended up with some stuff that doesn't appeal to me, but they also had a crap load of Molotov songs and some other good stuff on there.
Lol. Bubbles.
"After being regulated to second-string status..."
Is that kind of like being relegated?
Maybe he forgot to say "god bless you" when Kratos sneezed. It's not exactly hard to get on the guys bad side.
I rather like LAN play. One time I was skipping school up in the Yukon and it got so cold that my friend and I ducked into one of those LAN cafe places to escape the cold. We paid $5 each to play Quake 2 over the LAN for a couple of hours.
When our time was up we got up to leave and the manager came running out after us and asked us to stay because everyone was having an awesome time fragging. There's something infinitely more satisfying about fragging the guy sitting right ne...
Looking pretty slick. Hope they can really nail the controls as those are key for side scrollers, imo.
