It IS a generator rather than a creator. But the amount of options and input that the user has in the process makes it look worthwhile. I imagine that with some time and luck you can get some really great tracks out of it.
I'm totally amazed of what stunning shots the photo mode is capable of. Combined with ease of use so anyone can take such gorgeous shots and.... wow, it's really something.
GT5: The Real Car Porn Simulator
Th snow track (Chamonix) was in GT4. I'm happy to see it's been carried over. ^_^ And yeah, driving in the snow looks MUCH more challenging than in previous games; the new particle effects are amazing.
I totally agree with you on damage. The people whining about the series not having damage probably shouldn't have been whining about it, and it could have been time better spent on more important aspects of the game... But you know what, it's an extra feature ...
Which just so happens to be the definition of sensationalist and trash reporting. Generalizing them as 'game addicts' gives them more hits.
Hey, those who've done it can speak best about if from experience, eh?
Well regardless of the source, the article speaks the truth. Gaming journalism is nothing more than a bunch of tabloids concerned with nothing but sensationalism and hits.
And I'm getting sick of people who don't read the articles. It doesn't bash anything, fool.
I think that most of the people who claim that the GT series is no longer relevant are just kids who have grown up on Forza* and have never played a GT game. Because anybody who's been played a past GT game or has been actively following the course of GT5 should easily see how it is still more relevant than anything out there.
*Note: Forza is an excellent series too and I'm not trying to start any war; it's just honestly what I think is happening.
Nobody has anyone to blame for disappointment except for themselves. Too many people have let themselves build up such unrealistic expectations that the only possible result could have been disappointment. Like everyone else, there are aspects of GT5 that I wish were more fleshed out or different or improved... But that's not going to stop me from buying it on day 1, sinking hundreds and hundreds of hours into it, and having it be one of my favorite games in my collection.
...This is an example of a proper gamer. If only more of N4G was like you, good sir.
There are 200 premium cars and 800 standards. A very fair compromise between the two, if I may say so.
Are the stupid ones, who let themselves build unreasonable expectations that could never have ended in anything other than disappointment. Or they're just trolls.
"I would rather have 400 different cars, than 1000 cars were half of them are repeats"
Uhm... there ARE well over 400 unique cars, not counting variations. So I don't know what you're complaining about because GT5 delivers exactly what you're asking for. Just don't use the variations if it bothers you so much.
And as for everybody complaining about the huge amount of standard cars being recycled from previous games... Think of how mu...

Enjoy.
Here's what the REAL IGN UK twitter feed had to say about it:

Also, GT5 is 100% coming out this year, perhaps even by the end of the month. You must be a damn big fool to see all of the massive leakages and still believe that the game isn't releasing until 2011.
That twitter is a fake also. The real IGN twitter feed has called it out here:

Both classy and entertaining; the MCR song even fits in better than I thought it would! Very well made intro overall.... Not that I was expecting anything less from PD! :D
Also, it appears to confirm that the Ferrari F10 will be making an appearance, along with a couple nicely modded cars.
These are NOT all the tracks that are in the game! I assume it's like GT4 where some tracks are locked out in the beginning, and as you can all see the Nordschliefe and Top Gear Test Track are missing which we all know are in the game and have been confirmed multiple times.
Anyways, the Cape Ring looks absolutely ridiculous! And check out the extended Eiger. 0_0
No.
It claims November 30 for ITALY, and I'm fairly certain that games DON'T release on Tuesdays over there (correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am), so even then it's still inaccurate and fake.
November 27th is a Saturday. High profile games in the U.S. only, and I mean ONLY release on Tuesdays.
You know something is really wrong with the world when an amazing and content-rich expansion to a game (Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare) actually costs LESS than a tiny pack of poorly designed multiplayer maps.
But I guess we have the sheep who actually forked over for the map pack DLC to blame; Activision has no reason to stop overcharging for content if they know people will buy them regardless.
