It's not going to be competing with the current gen. It's aimed for a low-end market, and most likely will be competing with the PS2, if even that. Either way, this thing isn't going to get anywhere.
Finally, someone that understands that the game doesn't have to have 20,000 innovative new features to be great. All it needed to do is raise the bar for FPS's and perfect what has already been done. And it succeeded.
At least it is a nice change from all the NPD/Vgchartz data, which seem to be the only things we get around here.
They can be quite enjoyable, and relaxing. Takes some patience, but routing an animal, strategically placing yourself, and finally going for the kill is all very satisfying.
It may help prevent translation issues, but operating a nuclear power plant is a pretty high level job, and I imagine that a thorough knowledge of the English language would be a prerequisite.
And anyways, according to the update, this is indeed real.
Yes, because every Iranian is a gun-toting terrorist out to destroy western ideals.
Way to generalize an entire country, buddy. English is an international language and is very often used in business situations. The running of a nuclear power plant would, I think, warrant the use of English.
Oh god, it's going to be GTA IV all over again.
Oh you know those Japanese, always one step ahead of the rest of the world.
Oh man, wow. Watch yourself, that might be too much even for the Open Zone. That was some pretty heavy stuff there.
Sure do.
What a waste of time and money. Just like every other bill our government passes. Hooray.
Played Fable II on a friend's 360 and it was a pretty sweet game. The story was a bit short and felt like an afterthought (especially the ending) and the world wasn't seamless.
Fixing those would be good, especially making the game world seamless.
Totally ruins the point of using a 5 point scale. Should have just used a 10 point one.
Stop arguing over the damn score and argue over what matters - the actual content of the review.
It would be a lot more productive to say "I disagree with xxxx point they made" and we all argue over that rather than go "WAHHH they gave it a 3, I hate X-Play!!!!!!"
Your almost right, but not in the way you think. We don't need to buy it and we SHOULDN'T need to buy it. I'm sick, especially in this economy, of being nickeled and dimed by multimillion dollar companies. If they feel the need to do that sort of crap to stay afloat, their products probably aren't worth purchasing in the first place.
Yeah I know that's not how it really works, but I'm in a pretty sh.t mood right now and this kind of stuff does not help.
Sue? I laughed. They're reviews, get over it. They have absolutely ZERO bearing on how good/bad the game actually is. Get your own opinions instead of relying on someone else's and the problem is solved.
Anyways, I believe that Eurogamer actually scores on a scale of 1-10 unlike the 6-10 that most review sites do now. A 7 is a good score from them.
My demo's better than yours!!!!!
What the hell is the point in comparing something that (and it even makes a statement of this on the demo) is not fully representative of the final product? Fail.
I feel sorry for the obsessive compulsive.
A different country will be interesting, but the entire GTA series is based around a stereotype of American culture. That's what all the humor is based off of, and I can't see that translating well to other country's cultures.
But a different locale certainly would be interesting, at least in terms of exploring.
I've never had a bad experience at a GameStop, probably because I just pop in, buy my game, and pop out. You guys spend way to much time there.
