Maybe not. All it would do is create hostilities between the pirates and developers. Not only would it show an extreme immaturity on the developer's part, but piracy rates for their games would probably increase.
I like the way Ace Team did it here. No negative statements, just trying to 'bridge the gap' so to speak. It pays to be considerate.
Both this and Prototype are going to be week 1 buys, which is rare for me.
It's going to be a good summer.
Maybe that has something to do with the two year gap between Resistance and Resistance 2 compared with the one year gap between Madden games?
You know, just a suggestion.
:)
Oh, there was perfect proof of this. Was a chart with all present and future Rock Band and Guitar Hero releases. Was purple.
Well, I can't find it anywhere (anyone?), but it certainly showed how much these games are being stretched out.
Most of the appeal from these games comes from feeling like you are accomplishing something decent (no matter how much you deny it, someone that is able to play well on expert HAS accomplished something and is no doubt skilled at the game) all the while playing along with some fun music.
That being said, I don't see how it is killing music. In fact (at the risk of sounding stupid), I started learning guitar after, and partly because of, Guitar Hero II.
Plus tastes c...
It would be nice to see a reason. I mean, your opinion is your opinion, but I can't see why someone would hate them.
Well I'm opposite of you. Sandbox and open world games are my favorite genres. It's always nice to be able to go where you want to go (or at least feel like it in some cases), and get to explore new enviroments. The first thing I do after I purchase a sandbox game is go exploring.
I am a pretty worldly/travelling kind of person, so obvious connections can be ...
I don't understand the appeal of 3D gaming. It screams motion sickness to me.
Okay, I'm just going to lay it out why I'm not willing to lay down the cash for a 360 when it could be better spent on new games for my PS3. No no bullsh!t and all my personal opinion:
Xbox Live (and I've spent a fair amount of time on it on friends' 360s) really doesn't offer much that I don't have on the PSN. The extra features are nice, but I don't see myself using them. And if I want to play online, why should I have to pay when I can get the same experience on the PS3?
...
Well, in any case, it should be better than last year's E3. There is plenty of great announced and potentially unannounced exclusives from Sony, Nintendo hopefully has listened to their fan base from last year, and we have almost no clue what Microsoft will be getting up to.
It's going to be good - hopefully.
Agree. Saints Row 2 is supposedly (haven't played enough of it to know myself) far more fun that GTA 4, and yet the graphics aren't exactly cutting edge are they?
It's the fun that matters, and either way, it's going to be an ASAP purchase for me (I don't do day 1 purchases).
Blu-ray is SO dead. 12 million is nowhere near enough to sustain the format for another year. Hell, I bet it's gone by August.
/sarcasm
I don't think you Aussies are missing out on much here.
I don't understand what it has anything to do with V (5) then if that's the case. Am I missing something, or does replacing W's with V's (even just for hype purposes) seem totally arbitrary?
Your username speaks for itself...
Bit early to be making predictions of that sort, eh? Anyways, the focus of GDC isn't really on announcing new exclusives, I think.
Microsoft will have something, don't worry. Well, Microsoft better have something; the heads of E3 wanted to make a 'comeback' splash this year, and a good bunch of new exclusives or multiplats will do the job.
It's natural to feel pride and perhaps a bit (a bit is the key word) of superiority in your race, but outright racism? No.
Tried it this morning and I was missing one item (the SecureWorks logo); tried it now and all if fine.
For the trophies.
Actually, don't. It's like herpes; once you've got it, everyone can see and there is no getting rid of it.
Unfortunately, I don't believe it is physically possible for 'them' to 'hit us all crimes.'
And it isn't stealing.
When it reached an Amazon rank of 186, according to the article (it's actually moved up to 178 now).
