i'm not kidding when i say that i have seen our local Gamestop sell used games for HIGHER prices than new ones. for example, i saw Oblivion GOTY edition used for 49,90 euros, then i looked at the new games section, and it was 25 euros. and i've seen the same with many games, like WTF.
also, they are selling Siren: Blood Curse used at 49,90 euros. hasnt it always been less as a new copy?? i swear i've seen it selling new at some other gamestores at about 25-30 euros.
...
i have to try and contain my excitement but WOW, this sounds like they have listened to the fans and put more variety in the game and fixed a lot of the problems.
i simply cannot wait. this will be the perfect antidote to all the shooters i've been playing. and damn, they even put Machiavelli in the game. i hope i'll learn some history while playing, cos im kinda lacking in that area lol.
and PLEASE have Jesper Kyd make the soundtrack again, the first game had AWESOM...
Reggie seems like a classic case of the narcissist to me. i guess it's no wonder, that type of people are often drawn to PR jobs...
Wiki says about narcissism:
"The narcissist is described as turning inward for gratification rather than depending on others and as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power and prestige. Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to self-centeredness."
"a pervasive pattern...
sorry, freedom of speech.
i am personally offended by Christians who speak about "hell" as if it's a real place. kids might get influenced by that craziness and have nightmares and so on... (i had nightmares about going to hell for many years as a child, was not fun, luckily i realized it was nonsense when i got a bit older). but still i would defend their right to speak whatever they want, even if it endangers the sanity of my own children.
gotta love how the graphics of PS3 games keep progressing, it's really satisfying from a gamer's perspective. it would really suck if launch games had already shown everything that's possible.
just imagine what the last games on PS3 will look like... (like before how GOW2, FFXII, SotC blew our minds on the PS2, i hope the same pattern repeats)
so, where should one look for the "big picture", at infowars.com?
i say read Noam Chomsky. though apparently even he is considered an "NWO shill" by a lot of conspiracy theorists... which is utter insanity. that guy has probably the most skeptical, inquiring, realistic mind a human being can possess. and he has studied politics, the news, power relations etc etc for so many decades... i rather take his word than some raving lunatic like Alex Jones. (though he ...
conspiracy theories are an interesting issue... because sometimes they turn out to be true. and sometimes reality turns out to be worse than any conspiracy theory.
however, keep a skeptical mind, dont believe everything a guy like Alex Jones says (he knows some stuff, but is REALLY wrong on some other things). if you just let the fascination of conspiracies get to you, it's only a matter of time until you start believing that the Queen of England is an alien reptile in disguise. ...
people, read that above comment.
so, you like garbage and waste? can i dump mine on your yard?
wow big number, my head spins. ooohh.
anyway... i like the idea of achievements, i never really understood what they were about until Sony implemented the trophy system. now i see why it can be so addicting and satisfying. gotta give it to Microsoft though for coming up with it first, developers must love it too because achievement/trophy addicts buy more games and hold on to them longer :)
even if you're not into them, you have to admit they are a good thing for gam...
Call of Duty: Prehistoric Warfare.
please... i wanna see cavemen fighting it out. sticks and stones ftw. five kills in a row and you can call a saber tooth tiger. etc.
(sorry i know this was reaaaaaaaally lame lol)
wohoo posting on n4g on my ps3, finally =) this rules. im chilling in my bed about to fall asle..,zzzzz
i hope it reaches 1 million user levels. that would be something. i cant think of another game that has even a 1000 user levels... (on the PC side something like that probably exists, i just cant remember)
anyway i hope Sony would still advertise and push this game, feels like they gave up on it too fast :/ i want to see LBP ads CHRISTMAS 09. the game will still be fresh by then, if not even more fresh with added DLC and new gameplay mechanics that will most likely be implemented...
i doubt they expected that, i bet he/she who was responsible for that little joke felt pretty uneasy seeing thousands of people lined up for nothing :P sine potential for a riot there. (if japanese people werent such reasonable people and/or pacifists :P)
cruel!
sorry but LOL.
your daughter is an evil genius, be proud of her! hahah sorry man.
i agree.
people just tend to nitpick.. Fallout 3 and Oblivion have some framerate issues here and there, glitchyness etc. so therefore Gamebryo is disqualified. unfairly.. because i dont know any other engine that creates such immersive, huge, detailed gameworlds.
i have a thing for Ubisoft's engines... the Scimitar engine used for Assassin's Creed was amazing. also the Dunia engine powering Far Cry 2... really impressive.
Ubisoft teams need to work on AI though, lol.
edit: KZ2's engine is the winner still, i think.
Condemned 2 wasnt so bad.. there were a couple really scary levels, ESPECIALLY that goddamn bear level! seriously, i had to pause the game during that level, several times. and i NEVER have to do that. i was just literally freaking scared. just knowing that a huge ass hungry man-eating bear is inside the same cabin... yikes. and the chase that ensues... absolutely heart-pounding.
here's a challenge for Reggie & Co.:
make a game that would make me buy a Wii.
