Doom has been a really pleasant surprise for me...i wasn't expecting to like it this much. Dont get me wrong, I loved uc4 for visuals and story telling..but I didn't like its combat...doom is the exact opposite....I know its not popular but I'm having more fun with doom than I did with UC4....surprising me too

Sounds like you had your mind made up before you played it then. You should let go of that ridiculous bias. I felt QB was a fantastic game....must suck to be a gamer that can't find games that makes him happy. One of the best games this gen, and you "couldn't finish it"? It had fantastic story telling and fantastic gameplay. I'm still not sure I can believe you played it at all. I don't have that issue.

That sounds harsh, but there is a speck of truth to what you are saying. ESP with FPS MP games, X1 gamers just tend to be better. PS4 is enjoying the casual swing this gen that Wii had last gen...so a lot of those gamers just simply don't dive all in to playing FPS games...esp ones that take more skill and commitment. Even though games are still a hobby, it does take practice to get good at them...and a casual that doesn't want to put in that kind of time also won't enjoy getti...
True, all companies do that, but Sony has got to be the worst in that particular area...like didn't they first show UC4 in 2013? Or Deep Down? Or TLG/Shenmue 3...I was surprised when they showed Horizon and then it was coming out in about a year...but then that got delayed. I think Bloodborne and SF5 came out less than a year from reveal though.
I have faith that Xbox will crush it again this year like last year and the year before. There are still at least a handful of great games to come to Xbox this year, and I'm sure more stuff will be announced for this year (i.e. FH3) and some things teased for the future.
Side note: I bet money Titanfall 2 will be cross-console play...or at least I REALLY hope so the game doesn't get nerfed by not letting X1 use Azure servers. I can see either Phil or Yoshida on ...

...who said they aren't going with Fable 4? There were several rumors that when they closed Lionhead, it was really more of a restructure....in that they took a lot of the people from Lionhead and put them in another studio so they could start working on Fable 4.

After playing all three, I'd put UC4 at 8/10, QB 9/10, and TR 9.5/10. UC4 has many fantastic qualities, but is over-rated. Somehow other games took huge hits in score for things this game didn't even get knocked for doing...such as poor AI, and poor combat system with clunky controls. The setting, visuals and story-telling of UC4 are superb though....just gameplay-wise QB and TR are better games.
Seriously? 100? Look it's a great game, but it's not a 100.
Plenty of things make them look unprofessional, but none more so than the fact that like 33% of the reviews for the game have something "Sony" or "playstation" related in the name of the site....are we pretending that is unbiased?
That'd be like if 33% of the top reviews for QB were from websites called "Microsoft" or "XBOX"
Just let it go, it shouldn't hurt your ego that one low review made it on Metacritic....several "low" reviews aren't even on Metacritic so consider it a wash...MORE IMPORTANTLY...don't let Metacritic act as a gauge for what you consider a good game. If I trusted MC on whether to get a game or not, I'd miss out on countless great games.
I have no idea what's going on with their review...but I just traded UC4 for this game today and so far it's a REALLY pleasant surprise. The game runs so smooth and sweet. Great looking game...and fun so far...much better than I was expecting.
So everytime someone thinks a combat system is weak, they have to be bad at the game?
While I agree that UC4 isn't quite as good as the hype, I wouldn't call it a fraud. Its a great game and all games borrow from others....UC4 does have a lot in common with TR and each steals some from the other. Uc4 has fantastic visuals and storytelling...my issue with it lies in its gameplay...which other than in stealth the combat/cover system weren't very good IMO. Luckily everything you expect from UC series it does very well
