..Actually no, that was YOU. It's TRUE that gameplay is most important, and among games we've seen this gen, res/fps differences are SOOOOOO tiny that bragging about/worrying about them is just stupid...yet EVERY game there is a comparison, then it'll be like PS has a 1 fps advantage for this one battle in the game...then we hear all about terflops and how MS's console is too weak...and all sorts of lame crap. Now that there is a RUMOR that the next Xbox is more powerful...s...
When will that happen though? They've had Bloodborne and UC4, but that's really it...nearly everything else has been a flop, and everything else is getting delayed.
That list isn't really helping your point.
At this point, games are already so great looking that the power difference won't be a huge deal in that regard. Although, we'd probably see a lot more games in true 1080p 60fps. Hopefully they just the power to provide better experiences with less pop-ins, better lighting, bigger worlds, more effects...etc. What's still most important is gameplay. I'll grab both new consoles, but if Scorpio allows X1 to use Occulus natively, that's a HUGE deal, and that is what Sony s...
...cause you're crazy
They do. Only a fanboy would see things this way. UC4 is a great game, but some people are getting too carried away. It's not THE best looking game, it looks great, but most of what makes it look great is the direction...not strictly the graphics. The game flat out has amazing story-telling and voice acting...no faults there at all. However, the character animations are stale, compared to other games of the same caliber (esp if you look at QB's facial animations). The stealth co...
...not to mention that even though PSN is now a paid service, all their dedicated servers are locked up behind a secondary paid service PS Now. In other words, now you pay $50 a year for the EXACT same service they launched around 10 years ago.
First party/Exclusive games??? So far that's Bloodborne and UC4...both great games, but not THAT good. If anything Sony is falling flat on their face this gen in the exclusive department. Most are disappointing at best: inFamous SS (ok, but REALLY short for an open world game and uninspired), KZ, Knack, EVGttR, SF5, Order, DC...all disappointments so far IMO...where as X1 exclusives IMO have been far better overall...it's all opinion, but whenever I hear people say Sony's exclus...
Does your insecurity know no bounds?
Look at all those disagrees from people that don't even own an X1.
Well....for this question "most consoles sold" isn't the stat you want to look at. This question has to do with satisfaction with the product. It appears this gen PS got the casual swing that Wii got last gen...sure they are selling consoles like hotcakes, but most of those gamers don't really support the console through gaming. The kinds of stats that relate to this question are more centered around paid online membership renewals...which XBL CRUSHES PSN by like 4-5 time...
Currently X1
That game looks creepy, I will have to check it out
True, not cheapest....but cheapest way to get the best experience.
True it's all just rumors, and until I hear Sony/MS make solid announcements...I won't get me hopes up, but at the same time it's fun to imagine. I've been shopping for a PC/Rift bundle already, and any combo right now to make the idea worth it is about $2000 (there are cheaper ones, but the PCs have massive limitations). So the idea that they MAY have an option to get a cheaper console w/ 6Tflps to run Rift like a beast...seems like the answer I was looking for (ESP if Ms h...
Well at this point it's all just rumors, so you have nothing to fear
I don't remember saying Vr would be "subpar" more just that in 1st gens often quality gets sacrificed for cost. Rift went the route of making a more expensive, but much better device...IF SOMEHOW they made it so that you could get rift and it's library at something like $400 more than PSVR with camera and move sticks....I think it will persuade a lot of people to jump in that weren&...
True, that is the one area where PSVR has the advantage...accessibility. However, if you can get a console, that is MAYBE $500 (it's all rumors at this point so who knows) instead of a PC powerful enough at $1000 ish...then get Rift that works on PC AND X1s for an extra $200, but then have a much superior quality VR device with a much better library of games....many people might make that jump.
I applaud Sony for PSVR, it's not a bad product, it's just that in fi...
You do see the irony and hypocrisy (not to mention MASSIVE insecurity) in your comment right?
Who said that?
Too soon. You can't say that here, some people still don't want to accept that rumor.
