Those sites are a little misguided. We all understand that bang for the buck the 3DS and Vita both destroy phone/tablet games.
What these sites are trying to state is that Mobile Phone/Tablet gaming is gaining market share. Which is true. That market share is coming at the cost of both Nintendo and Sony.
So in that sense they are competing. Competing for the same money that is. The more money people spend on mobile phones and tablets and their apps/games the ...
I wouldn't say it is overpriced. It's just not priced for mass market penetration. At $250.00 it is only going to sell to early adopters/hardcore Sony fans. Lets be real about this.
I didn't buy the PSP till I could get a bundle for $199.00 with memory card and game. When it hit that price I bought 3 of them. Each one of my boys got one. By that time it had a good library of games and I thought the price matched the value.
I'll be honest. I wo...
I am a PC guy till I die. No way in hell am I getting raped by Apple on their computers when I can get 2 or sometimes 3 similarly equipped PC's for the same price as 1 Apple computer.
The IPhone is the only hardware I have ever purchased from Apple. I did it because it is a phone and I wanted to have an MP3 player to take with me to the gym too.
Other than that I crap all over Apple products, prices, and their loyal fans...
You can't compare the two. The IPhone is primarily a cell phone. The Vita is primarily a videogame console.
The only place they compare is some of the online features and the fact they both can play games.
Here is the other thing. A phone is a NEED. A videogame console is a WANT. I'm sorry to say but that $200.00 IPhone with a 2 year contract has a lot more value than a videogame console for $250.00 plus memory card.
I think $250.00 i...
I don't think I'll have to wait even a year for it to drop down to $200.00
There is no way the Vita will continue to sell at their current price points. The 3DS couldn't maintain any sort of sales pace at $250.00 so neither will the Vita. I say this because the 3DS is more popular than the Vita and appeals to a much larger audience.
You might have a few million early/hardcore adopters that are willing to pay full price and then sales will slow t...
If you want to use your Plasma TV then get a PS3. If you plan on gaming outside of your home the majority of the time then get a Vita.
I'm waiting to till the Vita drops to $200.00 and the memory prices come down to buy mine.
They had Nvidia make the GPU for the PS3. Other than that to my knowledge they have either made their own custom GPU or partnered with other companies to make their GPU.
Edit: 8 people already agreed with you? Either you have 8 different accounts or their are 8 uninformed Sony loyalists that agreed with a false statement.
I joined this site in 2007. By the time I joined Sony loyalists had taken over this site. Sure you had a fair amount of 360 loyalists including myself trolling and flaming. But we were outnumbered even back then. It was at least 60/40 in favor of Sony. As I write this comment today it has to be around 90/10 in favor of Sony.
Nintendo lovers are either afraid to speak up or all migrated to VGChartz. PC lovers are considered the worst trolls so they are damn near extinct too. ...
Nice troll. LOL. Props for that joke.
Blu-Ray says hi. Where as Kinect is an optional add-on that you can purchase seperately. Blu-Ray was included in every PS3 and WASN'T needed. I know I didn't appreciate paying extra for it...
So you know a lot of us so called "TRUE" gamers you speak of grew up with Nintendo consoles. All those Nintendo games you just listed still have major appeal to "TRUE" gamers. I know plenty of people who play Uncharted, Gears, Halo, Killzone, COD, BF that also play Mario, Metroid, Zelda, etc...
I have to laugh at people such as yourself that go around acting like they are some sort of "ELITE" gamer. Only on N4G do you find people who base their s...
I didn't hit disagree. But I do think it is kind of early to make a decision. I want to see the console specs, price, online network setup, and games before making my decision.
I could care less abut RROD. I had a console die to it and it was covered by Microsoft under their 3 year warranty.
How is this a "Vita" launch issue you ask? Because the game is a "Vita" game that won't install on a "Vita" console. What part of that do you not understand? I swear you guys try so hard to twist, spin, ignore, downplay, blatantly lie about anything that Sony does wrong...
I don't know what the percentage is. The Vita just started selling in EU and the US. Apparently the percentage is significant enough that PS Vita owners are complaining and Sony tech support is taking the time to address and resolve the issue.
Again my statement stands. Sorry I'm not in the majority here on N4G that bows down to the corporation of Sony and feels the need to defend them. I may choose to own Sony consoles but it doesn't mean I am blindly loyal to th...
YES. For those people who bought the game and are having "issues" downloading and installing it is a BIG problem.
Why are half the comments on here trying to either downplay, ignore, or flat out deny that there is any problems with the Sony Vita at launch even though an article like this provides facts to the contrary?
You are trying way to hard sir. Sony shareholder? An issue is an issue. Big or small. This is a news website for games.
I would rather read 100 of these types of articles that bring "facts" to our attention instead of the opinion pieces and blogs that typically get the citizens of N4G all riled up...
So we should ignore all issues related to the Vita just because they happen on other devices that aren't associated with Sony???
Maybe this isn't a huge widespread issue but it is still a problem for a percentage of owners and shouldn't be swept under the rug just because we want to defend Sony...
Kinect retails for $150. Most people purchase Kinect bundled with a new 360 which saves them $50. In fact there are a lot of online details where Kinect is selling for $100 instead of $150. Your comment fails.
Where is your proof that Resistance 3 has surpassed 1 million in sales? Before you bash the number being reported try to come up with a better counter argument based with facts instead of your opinion.
On topic: I agree that Sony needs to keep making exclusives. It really does help set them apart from their competition. Mainly the 360. But at the same time make sure they don't flood the market with games that are too similar in nature. Like releasing Killzone 3 and Resist...
Do you realize some of us prefer ITunes? I understand that these phones all have mp3 players. But I prefer the interface of the IPhone. Again that is the reason I don't go with the Droid. Apple made a phone that I prefer.
Again value is subjective. The Iphone is competitively priced with Android phones and has similar performance. Which is why it is the only Apple product I would consider buying. I never feel raped with my IPhone...
Edit: Anyways I am out...
