Apparently reading comprehension is not a strong point of yours kevnb. Try reading my comment again without getting so defensive. If a game is available on more than one console then it is multiplatform. If it is on only one console then as far as "CONSOLES" are concerned it is "EXCLUSIVE".
If what I said earlier is the stupidest thing you have ever heard then perhaps you should get out more. Irrational fanboys such as yourself are exactly why this website...
If you can't get the game on the PS4 or WiiU then it is an XBox One "console" exclusive. I could care less if its available on PC because I don't have a decent gaming PC.
I wonder if PC enthusiasts downplay a game if its available on a console too? I swear the fanboys on this site and their hipocracy ruin the chance for any sort of decent video game discussion...
That's like me saying haha PS4 requires you to pay to play online and Sony fanboys who used to put down XBL now think its acceptable to pay because Sony is doing it.
Funny how the tables have turned indeed...
Both XBL and PSN are giving/renting quality "older" games that are NO LONGER selling significantly DragonKnight. Just because you may not like what Microsoft is offering doesn't mean everyone else feels the way you do.
Lets not overhype what either Sony or Microsoft are doing. It's not really costing them any significant amount of money to provide these games digitally. Especially since they are making residual income from PS Plus/XBL fees.
Well you did present "FACTS" instead of opinion. Plus only an idiot would think MS is pulling Kinect after everything they have invested in it.
I am curious to see the real-world game performance difference between the XB1 and PS4. I have made no secret that I preferred XBL and the 360 controller to PSN and DS3 in the past. But this new generation gives both companies a chance to start off fresh and I really think both of them are going to provide a great gaming exp...
I actually agree with you for once DragonKnight. Microsoft designed the XB1 around the functionality of Kinect. There is NO way they are going to throw away all the time and money they invested they put in to improving Kinect and making sure their entire user base has it from day one.
As of writing this I am still on the fence on whether to buy the PS4 or XB1 first. But now that DRM is gone the competition for my money just got a lot more interesting!!!
$400.00 - $500.00 is not a mass market price point for either Sony or Microsoft. If somebody wants a PS4 or XB1 at launch then they will pay whatever the MSRP is. We saw a $600.00 console sell last generation. What makes anybody think that if somebody wants an XB1 instead of a PS4 that $100.00 is enough to scare them off? When people wanted a PS3 instead of a 360 that same $100.00 wasn't enough to scare them off...
Nobody is the market leader right now. The 360, PS3, and ...
How soon we forget the $599.00 launch price of the PS3 because Blu-Ray was needed and the power of the "Cell". Even though the 360 showed us you could get the same games without the cell and Blu-Ray. Or how Sony did the old bait and switch with PS Plus. By letting you rent older back catalog games that weren't selling anymore, along with automatic updates, game demos, game betas, and reduced pricing on DLC in order to test the market for a paid service. Then they snuck in the fa...
Damn. That is SEXY as hell. I might finally be on board the PS4 hype train now that I have heard the specs and seen the design!!!
Can anybody please provide some solid facts that XBL was attacked by a hacker? I'm so tired of rumors and FUD being spread on every thread about XBL being down. I happen to own a 360 and have had no issues signing in to XBL all weekend. Are Microsoft Haters and Sony Lovers this desperate to blow up every article with trolling and blatant lies???
I'm desperate? LOL. Says the guy who just replied with a wall of text and links? Hacked is Hacked huh???
So you're telling me 12 individual people who had their XBL accounts hacked is the same thing as millions of people's personal information being put at risk because an entire service had their security breached.
I'm not following your argument very well. When PSN got hacked I was one of the millions that got affected. I cancelled my credit ...
I NEVER said XBL couldn't be hacked. I was just clarifying that it was not hacked in this instance. There is a HUGE difference between an individual person getting thier account hacked and a whole service getting hacked.
Before you throw around the fanboy label maybe you should check out what website you're on and ask yourself why you felt the need to reply to what I said as well as label me.
Oh and I have to LMFAO at "trying to score points"...
This is a Pro Sony website. They agree with anything Pro Sony and Anti Microsoft. Look at all the misinformed comments above. In the interest of defending the PSN outage they are trying to stretch a few XBox Live accounts that got hacked due to password phishing into some huge XBL got hacked scandal. Pure comedy. Thanks N4G.
So an XBL account being hacked because the password got phished is even remotely comparable to PSN service being hacked and taken down for almost a month? Any account can be hacked. E-Mail, FaceBook, Twitter, XBL, PSN, N4G, etc due to user error.
This is not the same as when PSN got hacked as a whole service and had to be taken down. Please stop the comparisons...
So a few employess of Microsoft get thier accounts hacked because they didn't take care of thier information and all of a sudden XBL is vulnerable?
Call me when XBL is down for almost a month because the whole service was hacked and had be be taken down.
Talk about reaching for straws. You can't even compare the two. Password phishing is very common. That is exactly what happened here. No more. No less.
The reason the Vita sold so well in Japan this past week is because it got a spike from the price drop. Within a few weeks those numbers will drop dramatically. Then what? Doesn't it bother you that even with the price drop it couldn't outsell the 3DS in Japan?
Sony cant afford to lower the price on the Vita to $200.00 because its still too expensive to manufacture and they have to start turning a profit. Those 5 years of losing billions of dollars has led to them sel...
I have an idea. Instead of dismissing Pachters opinion why don't we discuss why so many of you on N4G think that the Vita will be successful?
It has barely sold over 4 million consoles and has been out on the market since December of 2011.
If $249.00 USD is such a bargain for the Vita why isn't it selling like hotcakes? Why are Vita games sales so low if it has all these great games?
Couldn't have anything to do with Smart Phones ...
How is less than 4 million Vita consoles sold in it's first year on the market even WITH holdiay price cuts and bundles selling well???
The market is a lot more competitive with smart phones and tablets selling games that are cheaper and easier and more accessible.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Sony misjudged the "demand" for a dedicated handheld gaming console in todays market. The only reason the 3DS is selling so well is beca...
Nice numbers. But I'm afraid it's just a temporary sales spike because of the price cut. The fact that the 3DS still outsold it indicates that there will not be any sustainable momentum. I think certain members of N4G still haven't grasped that there isn't much demand for a dedicated handheld gaming console that plays PS3 type games on the go. Sony needs to create more games that appeal to casual gamers like Nintendo does...
Depends on who were asking. I think most videogame websites and the quote "hardcore" gamers on the internet prefer the PS4 right now. But that is such a small percentage of the overall consumer base that both the PS4 and XB1 will sell to over the next 10 years.
I plan to get all 3 consoles this coming up generation just like I did last generation. If someone were to poll me right this moment then I will admit I want an XB1 first. I just prefer the XBox controller, X...
