It would have been nice to tell us who counts as a "participating retailer." Apparently it's not Amazon. Oh well. I'm definitely picking this up sometime, but since it's sandwiched in between ME2 (PS3) and KZ3, it probably won't be on day one anyway.

There's no way anybody is catching up to the Wii, but so what? The Wii isn't even really in the same market as the PS3 or 360, although Kinect and to a lesser extent Move are blurring the line a little.

And if the PS3 was going to catch the 360, it would have done so by now. I don't understand it, but I still know quite a few people who are 360-only because Microsoft has teh Gears. As long as there's a large segment of consumers who reflexively buy 360s...

I've played with several douchebags on my team who would C4 own own crates.

On a more mundane level, my favorites are the guys who drive a tank into the enemy base and bail out before it's completely destroyed, thus allowing an opposing engineer to grab it and repair it. Good times.

Because there are no decent games for it?

I would think that a 24 hour TDM would get super-lopsided after a couple of hours, and it would be hard to get players to join the losing side. I hope I'm wrong about that though. Sounds sensational if they can get the balance right.

The guy has a legitimate point that the PS3 holiday lineup (GT5) is pretty thin relative to its 2011 lineup (too many exclusives to list without accidentally overlooking one or two). Of course, the 360 only has one holiday exclusive too, so I'm not sure how he manages to arrive at the conclusion that the 360 is better positioned than the PS3.

If Move and DS3 players end up on separate servers, then I'll go with the DS3 for sure, and I probably won't be alone.

Does it bother you at all that this "positive" Kinect article mentions how laggy it is several times? And that he describes most of the stuff he played as "mini-games?" And that he concludes by saying that it's obviously targeted at the casual market, as opposed to core gamers?

I agree that this was a nice write-up from somebody who obviously liked his brief time with Kinect, but it kind of confirms what most of us have been suspecting all along....

That was awesome.

Yes, it looks great, but with 94% on Metacritic, I don't think it's quite accurate to say that it got "slammed" by critics. Even with the cutscenes, it's still one of the best games of this generation.

Well, this guy has Orange Box above Demon's Souls. I'd say that's a fail.

I honestly feel sorry for anybody who would fall for a scam like this.

What Kinect game are you most looking forward to playing?

I've been skeptical of motion controllers all along. I haven't bought Move yet. I *might* buy it when Dead Space 2 comes out, but first I want to read some first-hand reviews of whether or how much it adds to the gameplay experience. Same with KZ3.

The difference between Move and Kinect, at least for me, is that I know that Kinect wouldn't be able to offer anything that I'm interested in. The jury is still out on Move.

"That said, the company has made it clear that it believe Kinect can be attractive to hardcore gamers (its primary audience) as well."

I don't see a lot of hardcore gamers lining up to buy something that can't go beyond on-rails games right now.

The author obviously isn't old enough to have owned a 2600. Otherwise Pac-Man would have been at the top of his list. That game made my eyes bleed and crushed whatever faith I had in humanity at a young, impressionable age.

I agree that Kinect is going to sell. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it outsold Move. But that's irrelevant because I don't own stock in either company. All I want is to be able to play good core games, and by that standard Kinect is a complete failure while Move has some potential. I don't care about sales.

Pretty good review. This was a well-done game and I definitely got my money's worth out of it, but the frequency and length of load times were a big impediment to this game's success. Glad to see that there's still an active community for this, because it deserves one.
