I've already put 52 hours into this game, and I've still got quite a ways to go in the main quest (just got the ship and started looking for glue yesterday). This game is an unbelievable value for $15.
Meh. I wasn't going to buy Dawnguard anyway. It didn't get particularly great reviews, and the people I know who played it already agreed that it was so-so.
This is exactly what I did, but let's be honest -- changing your time/date settings and reloading your game over and over again 12 times just to get a trophy is sort of embarassing in itself.
I have been playing the hell out of this game since it was released. 40 hours in and I'm only about 2/3 of the way through the main story (I think). And there's apparently a gigantic amount of stuff to do post-story. This game is an unbelievable value for $15 if you're into turn-based RPGs.
This is a really nice article. I loved Dark Souls and it was probably my personal GOTY for 2011, but the author is right that it could have been improved in a few areas. The framerate in Blightown didn't bother me that much, but the PvP system was a big step down from Demon's Souls.
One other point that the author left out is that elemental weapons are hands-down the best weapons until you're character is leveled up to some ungodly high level. Demon's Souls...
Same here. MGS4 is one of those games that I just like seeing in my collection even if I wasn't going to play it any more. And of course, I was holding out hope for a trophy patch . . .
I'm loving this game. It's a really nice change of pace from most of the other stuff out there.
"If you dont like a devs game then dont buy it, its the best form of protest, simple as."
Agreed. That's why I skipped BF3 despite logging over 250 hours in BC2.
GTA 4 and it isn't close. Not that GTA 4 is a horrible game or anything -- it's a solid 7 or a shaky 8, which makes it worth playing. But it was getting 10s left and right when it first came out.
I agree that developers have the absolute right to write the story that they want to write. And I have the absolute right to point out that the ending they chose to write was complete shit. That's not infringing on the writer's freedom -- it's just me exercising my freedom as somebody who forked over $120 to Bioware between ME2 and ME3.
One point where I agree with the article though is that I haven't downloaded the new ending either. I moved on from this g...
I liked Arkham Asylum too, but Arkam City was sensational. I put it off because of Dark Souls and Skyrim, but having worked my way through it a couple of months back, I'm surprised it didn't get more GOTY action. Hard to compare a sandbox superhero game to something like Syrim, but AC was really superb.
This.
Not giving them the hit that they so desperately want.
Yeah, I don't even see how this is up for debate any more. Plus and Gold are almost identical except Plus has free and deeply-discounted games while Gold has cross-game chat. Free games win that one every time.
Ornstein and Smough are my favorite boss fight of any game, period. That one was just epic.
He seems to be arguing that physical discs are overpriced and that digitial distribution will bring prices down. Yet I can almost always find games cheaper from physical retailers than what PSN wants to charge me for a digital version.
Seeing as how Lincoln wasn't even born yet during the Revolutionary War, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to assassinate him in this game.
Yeah, I would definitely give this a spin if it becomes available in North America.
$10 credit on previous AC titles is a pretty lousy pre-order bonus.
Strange marketing decision. I'm leaning strongly against buying this, but I'd be willing to rethink that position if the demo was promising. But Capcom is preventing me from playing the demo because I don't have a 360. So as a result, I can't take their game for a test-drive and will stick with my initial decision of Do Not Want.
Nice job.
Same here. I was going to click on this, but I'm trying to avoid websites that pull this stunt. Did not read.
