(At this point in time) 'Knight Cid' has 1 agree to his 24 disagrees on his 3 posts. Unfortunatley he has reached his posting quota. However... this thread is still young, so his laughable disagrees on his current posts will continue to climb.
You need to visit the AVS forums or read some reviews from various sites on TVs.
First of all, all manufacturers (including Sony) can have minor bugs and flaws in their sets.
Second of all, C-net's top 5 TV's for picture quality: http://reviews.cnet.com/bes...
1. Sharp (it's a new ultra high end pro set)
2. Panasonic
3. Samsung
4. Sony
It's not time for the Korean companies just yet.
Samsung just reported record quarterly profits. - http://blog.gsmarena.com/sa...
LG also reported profits. - http://www.engadget.com/201...
It's not going to be an easy task for Sony to climb out of the hole they're in unless they scale back just as General Motors did. All GM was concered about was being the #1 automobile manufacturer in the world even though losses continued. They discontinued their Hummer, Saturn and Pontiac brands and sold Saab. They are now turning a profit which is all that really matters.
Sony is #5 in TV sales with a 5.9% world market share. The Koreans (Samsung #1 & LG #2) are...
Half-Life 2
Red Faction 1
I've been a supporter of the Xbox brand for 10 years now, but actions speak louder than words.
Step it up MS... or I'll never make it to 12 years.
Red Faction 2 should have made the list.
Your right. This is why Sony is doing another restructuring with their TV department.
Samsung (#1 world market share) and LG (#2 world market share) are just kicking ass in technology.
Toshiba just released a 55" glasses free this past Dec. in Europe. - http://www.highdefdigest.co...

I'm going to be bad with names here:
Singularity - The bullet time gun that lets you steer your explosive rounds.
Red Faction 1 - The gun that blew massive chunks and holes into various objects.
Half-Life 2 - The gravity gun.
COD: World At War - The flame thrower.
Far Cry 2 - The MGL-140 semi-automatic grenade launcher.
I could go on and on.
1. Half-Life 2
Halo: Combat Evolved
Red Faction 1
It's not 3D, but check out the Sharp 85" 7680x4320. There's even a source that makes use of these incredible numbers. http://www.flatpanelshd.com...

Although the game has some A.I. issues, I still enjoyed the fairly long and open campaign.
I never did try the expanded version with enhanced A.I., more guns and more single player missions.
I'm now looking forward to Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. (Cry Engine 3 based)
Fry's Electronics has a 1080p 42" 3D plasma for $489.00 on sale today. I've also seen them put 720p 42" 3D plasma on sale for $399.99. They're either a Panasonic, LG or a Samsung.
I also took notice to this.
This title should read, "Most developers loose interest in single player gaming." Thanks to multiplayer... which leads to higher production budgets... which leads to the single player cutbacks.
For ME, I like this.
This will be the 1st Dead Space game I will actually purchase. The first person view will be more immersive simply because it's a first person view. The action/horror will be much more up close and in your face.
Just one of the few issues with using a smartphone as a gaming device on a regular basis... the damn battery technology is far behind the SMARTphone technology.
Smartbattery?
This dude just had to go to the tablet/smartphone argument.
In other news, Wii and the 360 have just reported record breaking sales weeks. I'm sure Sony will report record numbers themselves.
Insane numbers, especially at this point in it's existence.
I agree with you Gabe, but how about you do your part and produce a game called Half-life 3... now.
