Games are 100x more complicated these days than they were back in the PS2 days.
Even with hundreds of people working on games, and having game testers, there are still things that they don't have time to fix before the game ships.
If you want the games to be perfect on release, then you'll be waiting a very long time because there's always room for improvement.
I really don't think this looks realistic and it still looks very last generation.
I just have the dualshock 4 dock and I keep em plugged in at all times.
HTCone!
I've never heard the phrase quite put that way... "names will never HEART me"? What school did you go to?
I'm not even an Xbox fan and I think Xbone sounds retarded. Whoever came up with that term should get a high five to the face with a chair.
Maybe when you load your save, you'll get a random time of day?
Also, Tomb Raider has day and night, but it doesn't cycle automatically, you have to travel to different locations in order to force the day to change.
He's absolutely right. Shadows become much softer and less pronounced when you're in dimly lit situations. The stronger the light source, the harder the shadow is going to be.
Also, Infamous 1 and 2 didn't have night/day cycles and those games were great.
Isn't that going to be kind of confusing. I like the PS4 games being blue because I can easily spot them at a store that's filled with PS3 games.
If an 8-10 hour game is $60, then Ground Zeros should be $15 for only being 2 hours.
And GTA
60fps is overrated. They could've made this game look a ton better if they targeted 30fps.
Besides the resolution and frame rate, why does the current gen game look so similar to the next gen version?
Instead of getting a next gen game, we're just getting an HD remake.
Outlast does not look good in the slightest. That being said, it was still a very fun game and it was one of the most frightening games I've ever played (and I don't get scared in video games).
It looks average. I think the contrast is way too high. I hope next gen isn't just high contrast like this.
Come on, everyone knows that games aren't fun unless they have good graphics. That's why nobody buys Call of Duty.
Because Watch_Dogs isn't coming to PS2... We buy consoles to play the games that come out for those consoles.
You don't know that it's not sub 30fps. Nobody announces "This game runs below 30fps!" or "This game runs at 20fps".
You simply do not advertise lower frame rates than 30fps.
When game companies tell you 30fps, they mean that they're targeting 30fps, which means it could go lower or higher, but it will hover AROUND 30.
I don't have an Xbox One, but I've seen gameplay videos of Ryse and the lighting is so realistic. It looks better than Killzone Shadow Fall and Battlefield 4 to me.
I have a PS4, but I will still admit when graphics look good.
I don't play resolutions and frame rates...I play games. If the game is good, it doesn't matter what resolution or frame rate it is. People need to get over this crap. It's not going to change.
Imagine that you're Sucker Punch... the game goes Gold and you press the discs... then you realize that there's something wrong with it... do you just sit back and say "Oh well, we already made the discs" or do you FIX IT so that we can enjoy the game more?
You friggin' FIX IT and release the patch along side the game.
