It's not a 30fps LOCK... it's a 30fps CAP which means it will never go OVER 30fps, but it may still dip under 30fps during very taxing situations every once in a while.
Oh yeah, and Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC soon too.
I played the entire Battlefield 4 campaign and I don't remember seeing a single frame drop. I would say that Battlefield 4 is locked at 60fps.
I'm one of those people who prefer consistency with a locked frame rate. Whether it be 60fps locked or 30fps locked. I hate this "all over the place" frame rate trend that's going on now.
If it can't hit 60 all the time, then lock it to 30 for Pete's sake.
Microsoft should just abandon the XBox One and unveil the XBox Two!
Now with 64MB of ESRAM!
I really hope so. I want more adventure games like Uncharted. I love Infamous too.
Also, first person games are weird to me, they don't make me feel like I'm any more there than a regular 3rd person game. It's not immersive in my opinion.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Tomb Raider sucks because the framerate is too variable for my liking.
Agreed. If they can't lock it to 60fps all the time, lock it to 30 or give us the option to.
But that higher framerate means nothing if it's variable. Constant dips into the 30's is not preferable over a constant 60 that never fluctuates. Same thing with 30fps that never goes below or above 30.
It's a well known fact that a game running at 30fps can have more details and effects than 60fps because the render time is doubled.
Make the game look better and make it run at 30fps. If the game has to run at 60fps, at least include an option to lock it down to 30fps like Infamous Second Son and Killzone Shadow Fall.
In my opinion, this generation is going to suck if these cinematic games keep coming out at 60fps because then every game is going to look...
I would say that based on past evidence, the PC port is highly likely, but I wouldn't call it "fact" before they announce it.
It's only fact if it's a FACT and Rockstar hasn't officially said anything about a PC port.
The graphics and animations look very bad.
Has Rockstar even ported a GTA to a next gen console?
Infamous Second Son is amazing!
How is GTA V coming to PC a "fact"?
I don't see any differences.
The Last of Us and GTA V have better lighting than AC4.
Also, for some weird reason, the water in AC4 seems too transparent when you're swimming in it. It doesn't look right. The water almost looks invisible.
I don't think this game is graphically impressive. Mainly due to the draw distances and simplistic lighting.
Wasn't really impressed.
It's called LOD (level of detail) and it's basically just bad draw distance. As you get closer to the building, the full geometry pops into place. You can approach it as slowly as you want and it always pops-in at the same distance.
