As of right now, windows does not have the ability to load directly from the SSD to the GPU. This is the main thing that is different between PS5 and PC. So don't expect loading times like that on PC for quite a while.
Have we seen anything load as fast on XSX?
It's not capped at 45. It was mostly 60 with some drops. They just advertise 45 because they can't guarantee a perfect 60fps the whole time with RT on. It's so that people don't get upset when the frame rate tanks in certain scenes.
FINALLY. ACTUAL SCREENSHOTS. I hate how every comparison these days is a compressed youtube video. Show me SCREENSHOTS. It's not that hard.
This is why I've been telling people from the get go not to waste their money on anything faster than a Samsung T5, but people insisted on getting the T7 for that extra performance.
Hah, don't get used to it. We're still early into this gen with mostly cross plat games and backwards compatible games. Hahaha. Don't get used to 4K/60, it won't last.
Even if it's just an option?
When has this ever not been the case? Consoles are weaker than PCs all the time. They have to try to find a balance between price and performance. You can't have everything and expect to pay $500
Gross
I need a max payne 3 remaster in my life.
If that's the case, then that proves that there are currently no real next gen games. Upping the frame rate doesn't make a game next gen. It just makes it a last gen game with more frames.
And why is this news?
I really really really really really really hope VRR will work on FreeSync compatible displays and TV's but I not going to hold my breath. They'll probably only support HDMI 2.1 TVs sadly. I know XBox can use FreeSync displays, but Sony rarely does anything like Microsoft.
I already had all those things last night.
Mmmmm... all food
I agree. Sony exclusive PS4 games blow PC games out of the water in terms of graphics quality. I look at Metro Exodus and I'm just like... meh, but look at Uncharted 4 or God of War and it blows my mind. I think it has something to do with art direction more than raw graphics. PS4 games just look and play better than any game I've seen on PC and I'm 90% a PC gamer these days. Sure I love the high frame rates on PC, but graphically, PS4 exclusives impress me more than what I've...
It was death stranding gameplay on PS4
I'm a recent PS4 to PC convert, but even I can safely say that PC has no games that are equal to the quality of PS4 exclusives.
InFamous Second Son
Uncharted 4
God of War
Horizon Zero Dawn
Detroit Become Human (coming to PC soon though)
DriveClub
However, that being said, multiplatform games are often better on PC, but I have yet to see a PC game that can compare to a PS4 exclusive.
Days Gone 2.0?
RE7 needs a next gen port. Can't stand the slow texture loading. Takes a few seconds of staring at something until the texture loads, then you can turn around for a second, then turn back and the texture has to load once again. Super annoying and brakes immersion.
