I mean, if the PS4 is 40% more powerful than the XBOX One, and if Bungie is literally on Sony's stage and in Sony's proverbial corner........where or how did you come to your seemingly strange conclusion that the XBOX One and PS4 would be the same in graphical fidelity and or performance?

The reason you got disagreed with is because PS4's GPU is 40% more powerful than the XBOX One.
Parity is the act of making the same.
Almost all AAA budget games should show graphical and/or performance benefits in favor of the PS4.
No one really wants games to be dumbed down.

I wasn't really surprised by the $500 XBOX One price and $100 price differential because I've been on alert to Microsoft Corp exec's XBOX brand aversion for years.
The reason for XBONE's higher price is because XBOX GAMES cannot afford to take the loss because Microsoft Corp will not allow it. Long story short.....if the XBONE takes on anymore financial losses, Microsoft Corp will jettison Microsoft GAMES along with the XBOX brand.

Bioware resisted as long as they could, but EA made them, and they finally are.
Kinda Similar to how EA made Bioware make games for the PS3.
These are small things, among others, that made the doctors feel like they were being pushed out.

I've heard your type of sentiment many times before, but what you're espousing is a total disregard of recent and poignant facts.

The fact that gamers said "NO".
Gamers said NO so loud and so strongly, that Mighty Microsoft had to put it's prover...
That is quite true.
There's more value with PS+ on the PS3.
That will remain true for quite sometime until potentially Gaikai.
Microsoft Corp isn't as interested in the gaming side of the XBOX One as much as they are interested in the potential of the TV and other media features.
There's more money in the latter.
