Twisted Metal 3 has already been done bro....over 10 years ago.
When Sony put a release date on PS2, it was all downhill from there for Dreamcast.
That's the #1 reason Dreamcast suffered, everything else is just side notes.
Is Metacritic the be all end all, no, but I like their system.
From that site, there are are 3 AAA games (games with scores of 90+) released so far this year: STREET FIGHTER 4 (94), Killzone 2 (91), and MLB 09: The Show (90).
All three of those games are critically acclaimed.
Conversely,
XBOX 360, according to METACRITIC, has 2 AAA games released this year with Street Fighter IV (93) and Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned (90).

The writer simply sucks at games.
Could have just said that and saved me a whole click and read.
I just wanted to state that since none of us knows the capacity output or capability of an actual cell processor, your graphics card comparison example is irrelevant.
Since the cell processor can and does do graphics rendering, PS3's current graphics card may very well be capable and up to par with today's most expensive cards and furture cards to come.
That's not to say that I believe it will take 5 years before a new console is unleashed, but I just wanted to po...
Sony is betting that the movie is gonna be a smash hit.
Then at the same time, Sony is betting the game is gonna be a smash hit as well.
Hopefully it both goes well because that movie was a great childhood movie....loved the song too.
But honestly, to say that both the movie and game are gonna be good and/or smash hits......I don't think I'd take that bet.
Btw......if you remember and like this, give me some bubbles. ;)
What I don't understand though is why, assuming it's a good game, why wouldn't they publish it for all systems as a way of "cross promoting" their upcomming movie with a game tie in. Seems like that would be a smarter move to me.
At anyrate, I'm a PS3 owner (can't afford an XBOX right now), but I really think I'd be safer renting this game cause we all know about movie games.
Yeah I both agree and disagree.
I got MGS4 a little over a month ago. I hadn't played any MGS since the first one on PS1 and I didn't have a PS2 (I had a Dreamcast and then went to a series of PC MMO's.)
The voice acting for MGS4 definitely was good....for a video game it was great.
As far as the story was concerned, the story was a mess. It was all over the place. If you want to say the story was stupid, I wouldn't hold that against you.

1. Cost. The entry level fee to play great looking games is cost prohibitive. I'd like to see you play an equiv. Killzone 2 game on your PC for $400.
2. Cost again, I simply don't like the fact that I have to keep upgrading expensive parts when clearly the game could have been better optimized negating another expensive graphics card. Console devs optimize well, granted that it's out of necessity, but they do it well...always have. PC devs on the other hand, they simply tel...
Why would Half Life 2 Ep. 3 not be on PS3?
Not only might Valve, because of PS3's increasing install base, finally be interested enough in making the game for PS3, but also, as a fallback, there's always EA who ported THE ORANGE BOX.
If You read my comment # 23 you can clearly see why Sony would release a TIMED exclusive game in favor for a TOTAL exclusive game in lieu of straining a powerful relationship, and possibly even losing or changing their good will relationship via EA.
And btw, Metal Gear Solid 4 can serve as a prime example of a company siding on the side of "CREATIVE FREEDOM". Yes, in spite of all thats "conglomerate" and "capitalistic", the creative freedom facto...
It makes sense to me.
Sony releases the TIMED exclusivity of GTA 4 for a TOTAL exclusive future game.
"Why would they do this? That isn't smart" some of you say, but think about it. Rockstar/Take 2 wanted to sell craploads of GTA 4, but PS3's install base at the time was small(er). It was far WISER (wise > smart) to let Take 2 have their way rather than strain a relationship with a powerful software developer and publisher. Even more so, Take 2 NEEDE...
Because Thugbot187,
While not necessarily absurd,
It isn't economically viable. As big and wealthy as MS is, they are even experiencing economic recession. To add further, they are trying to release and convince consumers to purchase their new Windows product. It takes resourses to be able to launch Windows and a new console, and resourses in this present time have to be conserved. It also takes time to create a new system.
No new MS console system will be ...
I've never played it, but I was told Mass Effect might be the best RPG on XBOX 360. It sounds like it's really good.
You can ask for lots of things but that doesn't mean you're gonna get them.
This dude, Jaffe, took a whole hour out of his time, away from his own family....LITERALLY, because his little girl came in wanting to be with her daddy, and he had her leave. I don't know about you, but to me that means something.
He must either have the connections, a known reputation, or great charisma to score an interview such as this.......
I suspect it's a little of all t...
What I also have tended to notice,
are the people that continually imply this type of sentiment,
they are the same ones who keep going back to his site to watch/read the material there.
Love-Hate relationship I guess.
*shrug*
I hear you in that the amount of players shouldn't and probably doesn't matter to most gamers, it certainly doesn't to me.
But I have made decisions on a couple games were 1 had an online mode and the other did not. Since they both carried similar scores, I chose the one with online multiplayer capabilities.
I'm pretty new around here, and I had been sort of wondering why there seems to always be such uproar and negative fervor over this "HIPHOPGAMMER" guy; I noticed that so many people seem to vehemently oppose him so often, even by his mere name.
"Bro' attitude"?
With regards to this said opposition, at least to some degree, I think I'm starting see why.
Shame on some of you....for sure.
Sometimes you just wanna putt around town.
:P
I'm just curious, because even though I haven't played it (I'm a PS3 owner), I've read the reviews on it and the strong consensus is that its one of the best RPG's of this generation.
So, I was just wondering how come Mass Effect seems to often be omitted.
