Metal Gear is awesome, yes...it can also, at least to some degree, be hailed as a system seller, but GRAN TURISMO....... those sold over 14 million (GT3) and 10 million (GT4). The series is also not an M rated title which appeals to everyone...Mothers, Fathers, Children....even pets if they could use a Dual Shock.
I predict Metal Gear Solid 4 will sell something akin to what GOD OF WAR 3 will sell. But Gran Turismo.....that game will sell like no other. Sony might even consid...

Can't wait for GT5 though....and as is, the racing genre is my least personal favorite genre. I just never quite got the idea of driving around in a circle many times.

According to to Wikipedia, Heavy Rain is Quantic Dreams game.....rather, they own the IP, whereas, Sony is Publishing the game.

The main reason for Dreamcast eventually dying was the mere mention of PS2. I remember it like it was just a few years ago, when Sony put a release date on PS2, Dreamcast sales dropped like a rock, they panicked and started to price drop their systems in hopes of stopping their slide....Never panned out. From the article, it says that they weren't planning on making any profit. If that's true, then what claim could SE legally demand? People make modifications, derivatives, and interpolations in music, movies, and all sorts of entertainmen all the time. In music, you can sing a song all day if you're not profiting on it. And even if you do profit, you can use a song as fair use by paying a piece of every song sold.

I mean, from what I understand (I'm still kinda new around here), this HipHopGamer guy is just a "regular Joe" who one day decided to put out his own video game related content. If that's true, that you don't like him, his show, his style, his voice, his content, etc......why not try own your hand in it and make a show yourself like he did? What MS XBOX is doing is equivalent to if MS or Apple charged you to go on the internet with your computer.
I pay for my internet connection (Comcast....bastards they are) so why do I have to pay MS for the right to use it simply because I use their Operating system?
And to add insult to the injury, as I understand it, the multiplayer network is largely peer to peer.
No one else pays to use an "OS's internet"....not PS3, not Wii, certainly not on a P...

This is supposed to be the "next generation". In this generation, we are supposed to experience the new, the different.....things that weren't possible before.
I personally don't have an affinity for Japanese stuff....hell, I haven't even played a Final Fantasy game since FF Tactics, but to have the option on this new piece of Blue Ray Technology.....it would be nice, that's all I'm saying.

That right there is enough to exclude them from my personal list of "review sources".
I'm not saying that they are wrong regarding the games you just listed, but I'd be wary of Game Informer as my #1 source.
