I don't understand why people agree that charging for playing people in random games is ok.
kewlkat007 in comment #8 tried to compare XBOX LIVE to WoW, but that isn't the same because WoW is a specific and specialized game that people pay to play, not just a slew of random games.
I don't pay Microsoft or Apple to play random online games on my computer, and I don't pay Sony or Nintendo play on their platforms, so I have a hard time trying to understand why Live should be ...
Well,
Shooting people in the head...check.
Movie downloads...check.
twitter and radio steaming ability...check
Avatar = Home....check
Now, I'm not saying XBOX Live isn't better than PSN....I believe it is better...but it isn't LIGHTYEARS better.
There is a monthly fee option.
You can choose to pay montly and if I'm not mistaken, the last time I checked it was either $7.99 or $8.99 per month.
LITTLE BIG PLANET was was an AIAS Game Of The Year, 2009.
If your unsure what an AIAS award is, its basically the Oscars of the video game industry.

Infinity Ward is owned by Activision. Making comments like what you suggest usually would get someone fired.
If Activision says, "Shut the hell up", then for sure that's what Infinity Ward is gonna do.
:P
Lots of the time HHG renders his opinion on gaming.
Most, or at least many of the sites here on N4G are giving their opinions as well.
So, in your own opinion, why should HHG's site be removed while all the others remain?
I'm curious to your response, thank you.
Bubble to you for being MORE than reasonable in your response
A large portion of the show was centered around an interview with a Ubisoft game developer. Said dev. said Splinter Cell would be using XBOX 360's tech capabilities to its limits.....it's just an interview, so what's the problem here?
"The game has no storyline to speak of."
Wrong. Fat Princess does have a story.
Microsoft addressed the RROD kicking and screaming. It wasn't like they gave their 3 year warranty out of the kindness of their hearts. They did it because they were getting pummeled with media attention and class action lawsuits.
who had their XBOX 360's broken, they went out and simply bought a new one, thereby inflating the "new sales" number because those customers are actually not new.
There's probably some truth in that.
It has to. Since Sony claimed they were gonna sell 13 million PS3 units, the only game that can move such units is Gran Turismo.
That is where you are wrong. Both of the games you mentioned especially Uncharted 2 are special enough to be technical marvels....the PINNACLE of graphics tech for consoles....one after another. Next up, probably God of War or Gran Turismo 5. What's more interesting is the fact that all of them are PS3 made games. Why does it seem as if PS3 games are only competing against themselves for this tech crown? Apparently because they are.
That sounds pretty special to me, wouldn't you ag...
I bought a Dreamcast and then went with MMORPGs for the last generation
This is a $20 game, and I ended up buying Unreal Tournament 3. Even though Unreal is rated pretty high, I never really got into the game. I shoulda got THE DARKNESS instead.
Anybody wanna trade?
;)
Did you honestly buy Ghostbusters on any of the current "next gen" systems?
You can probably call it alot of different names because a thesaurus would have lots of different entries.....bribe is among them.
There are ALOT of people who have no allegiance to any console, and quite frankly, may not know alot about gaming, and they in fact bought Wii's.
MOST gamers are not people like you, me, or the other's here on N4G....most are not well versed and knowledgeable and I notice alot of hardcore gamers tend to forget that.
That game looks to be a day 1 purchase to me.
