But, I don't really care for the handhelds in the list....I'm just not a handheld fan, I guess.
*shrug*
I don't see your reasoning....
The Genesis was a more renowned console than the Dreamcast.
It had a longer lifespan, had more games, and sold more units.
I had, and still have both systems, and they both work to this day.
You may like the Dreamcast better, since it's newer, but in no way shape form or fashion can anyone with video game knowledge of history proclaim the Dreamcast was a more renowned console than the Genesis. You're offbase here.....
What really is there to think about?
Sony has never really been an advocate-supporter of the internet, overall.
It's why Sony, which once was the "dominant WALKMAN factor", has been usurped by Apple IPODS. IPOD is in fact today's "Walkman". Sony, throughout history, has pretty much snarled and sort of frowned upon at internet because it viewed it as a threat to their business.
So now today, it is playing catch up...not just with PSN, but with almost all of their divisions...music...
I have yet to buy any CoD game.
Granted, I've only had my PS3 since early January, but I have 13 games and I still have yet to play CoD.
I might get MW2, but, like I said...I might not.
Remember,
They had a poll asking gamers what they wanted, and a re-release of God Of War 1 and 2 was the winning option.
Also, Sony as a megaconclomerate mulitimedia company, they do re releases all the time with their music and movie divisions...so it was very logical that they would do this. Afterall, they are already doing this with many of their first party hit PS1 games, you don't think they've figured out they can do this with their PS2 games?
However, ...
While there's nothing else high profile recently released good this month other than Madden.
As mentioned, waiting until 1Q 2010, there's alot of games being pushed back due to the same reason....everybody wants to "avoid the holidays".
Doesn't that just seem weird if you say that outloud...."We want to avoid the holidays".
lol...My how times have changed.
I'm gonna have to put my bid in for PORTAL.
Not the BEST ending, but definitely memorable.
I still sing the song to this day. lol
Then you have a point, JokesOnYou.
However, when describing Uncharted, Killzone 2, and now Uncharted 2, when people talk about those games as being technical marvels, and being the "crowning point achievement" in console graphics technology, we aren't talking about "subjective opinion" here. We aren't talking about things that can't be tangibly measured. Rather, we are talking about things such as lighting effects, polygon counts, texture mapping, character ...
Because think about it...we know that XBOX's were VERY defective at launch, and the survey was asking whether said owner had his/her XBOX broken...ever, in the span of almost 4 years.
I think that if you took 10 random people with launch XBOX's, you would get half of them that have had theirs broken. Even if the claim of Jaspers being better is correct, those chipsets have been out significantly less than a year.
So in basically, Considering what we all know and unde...
All PS3's play virtually all PS1 games. The B/C issue that your referring to is regarding PS2 games. If your PS3 isn't the B/C version, you can't play PS2 games.
Easily.
If I buy Mass Effect (either of them), I will have fun with it, I'm sure.
On the other hand, if I don't buy it and it doesn't do particularly well, kinda like Bioshock, then that will help drive a message/point home.
That message is, if you do TIMED/TERMED exclusives, said publisher runs the likely risk that said game will sell SIGNIFICANTLY less copies than if you would have released the game equally and at the same time.
I personally think that's a good messa...
Definitely my kind of game.
LBP's official release date was Oct 28, 2008.
So if LBP can win THE MOST respected award in the games industry, then surely Uncharted 2, which was voted BEST game of E3 and also is releasing 2 weeks earlier in comparison.....Surely it can win too.
I'm sorry,
I can't buy that.
And I too liked GTA 4. I still play GTA 4 online (I love the GTA RACING) and I would welcome both expansions on the PS3.
I enjoyed it alot.
And I always liked GTA4....I still play it now because I like the GTA Races online.
I would very gracefully welcome the DLC's on PS3. :)
But at what terms.....that is the question.
Badly.
I have the N64 hooked up to one of my TV's now (for when young kids come to visit)because the damn thing is freakin indestructible..lol..it really is.
But during that generation, the PS1 really slapped the N64 around in the marketplace, to a point where is wasn't even close. It was a good system, but the PS1 probably, if it could talk, it could make a good argument for itself if it claimed to be #1.
