Some of PS3's top-flight games already match and even outdo PC quality games.
Ubisoft totally screwed up jello here.
The game had great graphics, a stealth premise, a passable story (imo) and had "some" history behind it....Jello...impossible to mess up.
But that's exactly what they did, because they mailed home the rest.
EGM (now defunct :( ), gave the game a 57, and while a little harsh, they were right on the money to give em that kind of score.
I won't be buying the second until someone at least like EGM conf...
Like I said before, when you purchase ANY new or "first run" product that appears on the market, LET THE BUYER BEWARE.
That said, I think it would show good will on Sony's behalf if they at least fixed the launch models. They do seem to have some defect flaws, albeit, NO WHERE NEAR that of XBOX 360's. I can't even call the PS3 flaws egregious, which is really what XBOX fans are hoping for here. Still, Sony's not a multi-national, mulitbillion dollar making company fo...
I think it's easy to see that this is a real time RPG.
Gran Turismo 5 says its on its way, God Of War 3....well it just wants to kick ass all day, but it has MAG and Heavy rain chauffeuring it around.
Apparently, if you know what you're doing, games turn out awesome for the PS3. In fact, if you know what your doing, your game can be the PINNACLE of console graphics tech....the CROWING POINT ACHIEVEMENT for ALL consoles, games that even PC developers marvel at.

But I gotta tell you, Me, coming into the series with a brand new and fresh pair of eyes....
GTA 4 is a 9-9.5 game.
And I'm very critical about games (movies and music too).
The production value of the game, the graphics, the humor (some of it was droll), the music...it really was all top notch...not perfect, but very well done.
And then, on top of the single player, they have a very fun multiplayer with several different types of games.
I understand this is a business and money has to be made, but it shouldn't be forgotten that this is also an ART driven industry. Just throwing money at it like Windows is proving to not be the solution. Why not create, acquire, and nurture their own gaming studios in place of buying termed/timed exclusives? Why not put their money to good use by planting the seeds that inspire creativity to advance the gaming industry......to advance the art?

But as a PS3 (only PS3) owner,
I really enjoyed GTA4....ALOT. In fact I still play the online portion (I love the GTA RACING...reminds me of Road Rash from back in the day).
I loved the soundtrack...I'm a musician, so I really dug the radio content on all the genres. The music was great and really fit the tone of the game, so I don't get where the radio hate is coming from. *shrug*

Graphics don't necessarily determine a good or a bad game.
I'm playing Fat Princess, and it reminds me of 32 bit graphics....it's a innovative and fun game.
It's pretty decent.
I traded Battlefield: Bad Company, I wasn't playing it anymore, so, out with the old in with the.......used. heh.
Next game, I'll try and trade for Bioshock.

I've sold enough products (Former GOOD GUYS employee) to know that if you buy something when it first gets introduced, you are taking a risk. Personally, I don't like to take risks with my electronic purchases, and for good reason.
