the damage control by nintendo fans is hilarious. there is no dispute- it is a complete shafting.

nintendo made us wait the entire 5 year duration of the wiiu's life cycle, all the while promising a new zelda was on the way, in the meantime expecting us to re-buy hd updates of wind waker and twilight princess.. only in the end for the wiiu zelda not even to be released...

lets face it, its a NX launch title now. they are merely putting it on the wiiu...

there is a theory that the NX will be little more than a re-packaged and re-branded wiiu, meaning nothing really changes. nintendo just carry on, only now with a renewed interest in their home console thanks to a re-launch.

when you think about it, it makes sense. its probably just the idea of wiiu, evolved further. wiiu advance= nx

i find the idea of the nx as a re-designed and re-branded wiiu strangely appealing. sort of like how the wii was really just a souped up gamecube. allowing full backwards compatibility but with a little more power. i suppose the same is true between the wii and wiiu.

i just hope the nx is affordable. backwards compatibility is vital to me

apparently, zelda wiiu will be their only playable title this year at e3.

oh dear

not unveiling NX at E3 is commercial suicide. what are nintendo thinking??

the wiiu is dead. what are nintendo planning to do this christmas? what IDIOT is going to buy a wiiu for christmas when the nx will be out a few months later? what idiot is going to invest any money in games for the wiiu when they know a new console will be out mere months later.

nintendo's strategy doesnt make any sense. and while i say strategy, in reality i think its a complete...

i cant see the nx being successful. judging by the patents, and the rumours floating around of a 'new concept' console, i think it will be another product that nobody understands.

i think it will perform worse than the wiiu. im a gamer who grew up with a nintendo in their glory days, everything they did was a success, they were a driving force in the market, the innovators, leaders, they had tonnes of support, ever major game was host on their consoles. those days a...

i think a lot of people are just hypocrites. they trash a review if the review scores the game poorly, but if the reviewer were to sing starfox zeros praises, everyone would be bragging about it.

nintendo fans are just embarrassed that nintendo made a rubbish game and mad that reviewers are pointing it out. how dare they do their job!

the numerous poor reviews this game is receiving doesnt surprise me one bit, i saw it a mile off. the signs were there rig...

you are right, there are only so many times you can play the same game. every generation nintendo practially remakes the games of the previous generation, but changes the graphics, adds a few different gameplay mechanics and changes the music.

so lets face it, i have been playing mario bros since 1990. all the 2d mario games since have merely been remixes of that same game. how many times can we play mario kart? zelda hasnt really changed much since 1997's ocarina of ti...

''easy sell''

what i mean is what i said. remember project giant robot and project guard? they were tech demos designed to showcase the wiiu controllers 'unique' gameplay features. nintendo created these gameplay methods but now they just needed a title to sell it... ie starfox. the control mechanics of giant robot were rammed into starfox, and project guard become starfox guard. see. what were completely us...

starfox zero has always had game-breaking controls right from the very beginning. this was made very clear to nintendo right away by every journalist who played the game, and anyone with common sense who saw the control scheme just doesnt work, on paper or in practice.

never the less, nintendo still showed the same broken game, show after show, as if determined to become the laughing stock of the industry. it didnt help that the game looked like it was produced on a gamecub...

there are no questions to raise about journalism, more so questions about game development.

it seems people want to take their frustrations out on polygon, when it was nintendo who made a (lets be honest) disastrous starfox game.

everyone should know better since all the warning signs were there very early for this game. its little more than a glorified tech demo for the wiius completely shxt controller. nintendo merely forced it on starfox just for an ea...

im not really happy with the scores this game is receiving.. i mean, 7 is good for your average game, but what we are talking about with the starfox franchise is not your average title.. it has a history, a reputation, generations of fans. a 7 in this context is poor.

it would be like releasing a flagship mario title, and it only scoring a 7. its unacceptable.

what happened to nintendo's 'seal of quality' ? what happened to the idea that a g...

it should have been a warning sign that the reviews are this late. i mean, the game was already sent to customers before 1 review came out.

obviously nintendo werent so confident with the game.

oh well, yet again nintendo falling short this generation, another game that should have been a stone cold classic instead becomes one for the fans only

it sounds messy. i chose to be a console gamer especially because there is no grey area- you simply put the game in and play. no stress

seems like those days are over.. when did console gaming become so complicated?

power might not = winner, but what it does do is allow creative freedom.

we live in a time where its popular to have graphics intensive games, games that are pushing the boundaries technology wise. so to come with a console that is technically backwards, is literally crippling its chances of success.

we see saw this with wii and wiiu where they had no legs, they had no staying power for the future. no third party would port their games to the consoles becau...

obviously it needs more than just power, it needs 3rd party support.

it also needs nintendo to actually utilise the power. i mean, what good is it if it can render the entire universe and all its contents in real-time photo-realism (matrix level of realism) if nintendo are only going to make metroid: cooking with samus and friends.

nintendo need to change their whole entire culture, simply making a more powerful console is not going to solve their problems.

i pray to jesus every day that the reason the NX has a screen on the controller is because the NX is backwards compatible with the wiiu.

it would be a great idea to have two NX sku's, one that comes with a screen controller (for those like me who want to fully utilise the NX backwards compatibility,) and another sku that just comes with a 'traditional controller,' for those who want to save a little money.

it would also make sense if WIIU control...

backwards compatibility is a must going forward. i dont care what sony or micro are doing, it makes total sense for the consumers/gamers to be able to use their old games on the new consoles.

trying to make us re-purchase games we already own through downloads and ports is total BS and nobody should support it. backwards compatibility is the answer and the solution. we invest so much money in our games/hobby just for it to be made obsolete within 5 years. its an outrage and ...
