Congrats to Nintendo, I am excited to play the game

He said ''we create entertainment that makes people smile'' ... never thought about it like that, but it does seem all nintendo games are designed with that emotional response in mind..

but what about the other emotional responses? why dont they make something to make you cry? scared? melancholic? etc

sony do. microsoft do. i mean, you can play ratchet and clank, and also resident evil. nintendo however, are only providing a singular exper...

if its not about specs then why even bother launching a new console?

if its about content, why not give the wiiu more content?

it sounds like nintendo are justifying the inevitably weak and underpowered NX

the new zelda is definitely very impressive looking, but i think its one of those thing you have to actually play and experience to grasp just how good it is.. its a game you would personally have to experience.. not just spectate.

i was most impressed by resident evil 7. it actually looks like an intelligent resident evil game- a departure from the action/arcade style of recent years. so to me, that was the game that most impressed me.

also the last guar...

Lol

Nintendo did mess up by using the tree house format. I couldn't watch nintendo e3 live so had to catch up with all the news later in the day. Trying to find the major news in a digestible form was impossible. Instead I had to join a treehouse that was already hours deep into broadcast. In short, it was useless to me.

So I had to go to YouTube and watch trailers instead.

Nintendo should have stuck to the traditional presentation ...

its very impressive. incredible even.

i just hope that the game can live up to the name. breath of the wild conjours up in my mind the image of a living breathing place, a place that is bursting with life. nature.

by creating a map so large, along with that title, it would suggest nintendo want to bring a particular experience to the gamer, one of exploration and immersion.

lets hope nintendo give this game a believable ecosystem that ...

it doesnt tell anything. ubisoft were the same with the wiiu, they promised the world and delivered nothing. remember the so called exclusive rayman?

yeh.. there is no point in making a massive game world if it is devoid of anything interesting.

many people complained that twilight princesses world was far too empty, which was only exasperated by its size.. and this breath of wild is supposed to be 15 times the size. so thats 15 times more barren.

open world games dont need to be empty. GTA proves that.

It seems nintendo are going with the story that hyrule has mysteriously become a ...

im not fooled by the use of the xbox 1 branding. its a new console. they are trying to get people to buy a new console and adopt a new generation prematurely.

same for neo

nintendo will have to go back to the drawing board. i mean, the NX is reportedly 'approaching' the capability of an X1 or comparable to ps4.. but if scorpio and neo are vastly superior to their predecessors, that would make the NX 2 or 1.5 generations behind, capability wise.

starfox 64 was genuinely innovative at the time though. it came with the rumble pack accessory, which allowed players to 'feel' .. ie, force feedback, dual shock. this was a first for console gaming, and sony were quick to mimmick. it has been a standard feature in controllers since. the game also had extensive use of real voices.. this was amazing for a cartridge game at the time. plus the game was actually good. it deserved the success.

starfox zero is straight ga...

as i have said before, you need to take off the mushroom kingdom tinted glasses you are wearing and see things for the way they really are, as currently your level of fanboy-ism is bordering on extreme delusion.

you keep incorrectly and bizarrely asserting that i am a nintendo hater, merely because i am critical, but let me ask you one thing- when a news reporter is sent to a war zone to give a report on the situation, is it their fault if the report they give contains noth...

nintendo direct is the definition of preaching to the converted.

only nintendo fans tune in. do you really think sony or microsoft fans (or anyone other than a nintendo fan) is going to rush to tune in to a nintendo direct. no. they probably arent even aware of them until they are over.

its shows like E3, which draws the attention of ALL gamers, which nintendo need to exploit to their best advantage. its probably the only time a non-nintendo fan would tu...

Its going to be more Zelda announcements lol

3650d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

im going to be honest, i want to see as little of the new zelda as possible. i dont like to ruin new zelda games with spoilers, and a 90 min demo sounds like a game ruining play through for a spectating fan.

i will most likely watch the new trailer, and read the write ups- im not interested in seeing somebody play a game at length that i want to be a fresh and new experience.

of course im excited for the NX, but after what has largely been a farce of a ge...

i agree, nintendo are becoming less and less competitive.

zelda wiiu could possibly be the game of the show, but im personally looking for more than zelda. i want variety, i want choice. nintendo arent offering that.

the consequence will naturally be that people, including myself will look elsewhere for the experiences that nintendo arent providing. ie, people will become interested in what sony and microsoft have to show.

its a big ...

incorrect.

if nintendo were to change the record and actually do something right, then i would change my tune. fact is, it sucks to be a nintendo fan right now. there is literally nothing to be excited about.

in previous years, the run up to e3 was full of exciting possibilities about the potential announcements, bt year after year of disappointing e3 shows from nintendo make it a time to expect nothing but bitter disappointment....
