sony must believe in VR enough to invest millions of dollars into producing the thing.

the devs must also believe in it to support it.

consumers believe in it evident in the fact it was instantaneously sold out when it went on pre order.

these things indicate to me that VR is going to be huge..

why is it so hard to believe that if the PSVR was a stand-alone system, it wouldnt be a success? people are willing to pay consol...

if the rumours are to be believed, when you really break it down the NX is little more than a glorified game boy with a HDMI-out. hardly innovative.

such a set up is bound to hold the hardware back too. ie, its likely it will be on par with PS4, graphically... and thats the best case scenario.

lets face it, nobody cares about hand held consoles anymore. i cant remember the last time i saw somebody in public using a 3ds, or any dedicated handheld console. may...

nintendo looked at growing mobile/tablet market and anticipated gaming would go in that same direction, moving away from the tv and having its own dedicated screen. i think nintendo might be right about moving away from the television, but i dont think a tablet/mobile device is the future.

i think VR is the future.

i think by the time the NX arrives (even if that is this christmas), the PS4/PSVR will have totally captured gamers and the wider consumers imag...

it looks really fake.

who is going to want what is basically going to be a glorified game boy with a hdmi out?

dont get me wrong, the device will obviously sell to fans, i might even be interested, but im a nintendo fan. but from a mass consumer appeal point of view? no, i really dont think the NX is what people want.

many of those remasters you listed underwent a considerable facelift. there was a lot of effort ut in to bring them up to date.

twilight princess isnt one of those games. and before you call me a hater- i own the game. the limited edition of it.

but lets face it, they did as little as possible, merely just enough to call it a HD remake.

also, the uncharted collection was several games, all for the price of one. twilight princes retails at t...

obviously nintendo get money either way, but keeping console and handheld software separate gives both platforms their own identity and gives consumers a reason to want both. if you share software between the two, they start competing, one will start to cannibalize the other. why have the platforms compete when they can sell them both?

nintendo have successfully juggled two platforms for generations now, but i think we have come to a crossroads now with technology where the ...

i think its a business decision.

if they make the main pokemon games exclusive to their handheld, they will get to shift more handhelds

they are deliberately keeping franchises to certain hardware in order to 'force' people to buy that hardware.

if they put a core pokemon title on their console, they would create a situation where the two would be competing.

when i think about it, it seems clear now that the way they...

nintendo are doing it wrong by giving players invincibility without even working for it. it gives them no incentive to work at the game or to improve their skills.

i think an invincibility mode would be great in starfox as a reward for completing the game. i would welcome a system similar to goldeneye 007 on the n64 where the game has cheats that are unlocked if you complete special tasks. so for example, you could unlock invincibility if you make it through a certain level ...

sounds scary.

i mean, the thing that makes anime/manga great is that it has a very particular style that makes it stand out against western animation. its a product of japanese culture and that is reflected throughout.

it will really be a tragedy if nintendo make zelda a caricature of its former self. its also an insult and dis-service to western consumers who love nintendo precisely because they offer something different to western companies.
