I think either I am missing something or the author is missing something. When did they say you can share games with 10 friends? I know you can share games with your family (up to 10 people) if they are tied to your gold family account, but I don't think you can just share with any 10 people. Did I miss something? If I can share games with up to 10 people, including some who are not tied specifically to my account, I may change my preorder from PS4, because I would be buying so many l...

In addition to remote play, I am hoping they can also make the vita as a second screen device for the PS4 as well. Apparently they are doing that for the Deus Ex remake coming out, but I want to see it for more games, like Watch Dogs, The Division, and Need for Speed Rivals, which all can use 'tablets' for second screen activities...why not have the vita be the second screen?

Preordered the Amazon PS4 launch day console. I am going to get either Need for Speed Rivals or the Crew as my racing game, so I'll just take the PS+ version of Driveclub.

(Coming from a person who has 2 Xbox 360s and a PS Vita with PS+, but no PS3, and I preordered a PS4, so you can know where my current and future biases lie)

I think that the article represents a valid point of view, but misses a couple of things.

1) I think it ignores the fact that the reason that Microsoft said they were charging for on-line and services and so forth was because they had a better network, with better matchmaking and so forth. Certainly whe...

Any list is very subjective, so the list of games that appealed to my tastes and intrigued me the most:

10) Mirrors Edge 2
9) Dead Rising 3
8) The Witness
7) The Order: 1866
6) Dragon Age: Inquisition
5) Lords of the Fallen
4) The Witcher 3
3) Destiny
2) Watchdogs
1) The Division

Interesting. I liked the look of Project Spark. If I had gone with Xbox instead of PS4, I would have planned on buying it and work on making some games with my 8-year old son (He really wants to learn how to make his own games, and he loved the look of it during the conference). I don't know how I would have felt with it being free to play. I guess I would have rather paid 30 or 40 dollars and have the whole system than be forced to pay 1 dollar hare and 1 dollar there for particular ...

I've been hoping that PS4 games would use the vita as a second screen, like Xbox smartglass will be for the Xbox One. I know Watchdogs ad Division have applications where you can control aspects of the game through your tablet. Hopefully, the vita will be able to handle those types of things, as I don't have a tablet that can do it. I love the idea of remote play, just hope it can do second screen as well. The Deus Ex example here is giving me hope!

I am going to assume the pictures they are showing are concept art and not the game, as if those were gameplay shots, that would be stunning. I'll keep an eye out for this one. But Dark Souls left some large souls to fill. We'll have to see if it could possibly live up.

I know they have talked about remote play using the Vita, but has there any talk of using the vita as a second screen? I have seen talk of games like The Division and Watchdogs, where you can play your game on your PS4/XBox One, then a friend can be on their tablet and control something else. Have they said anything about using your vita to accomplish the second screen applications aside from just remote play? I am hoping they will enable that, as my only tablet is a Kindle Fire, which is ...

I found this article in the X360 section, but I don't think this will be on the 360. I was really bummed when I saw this was an XBOne exclusive, since I am getting a PS4. But looking at the comments in the article, people were saying they were getting rid of psychos, and they are definitely getting rid of a lot of the humor, which basically takes away from it being a dead rising game. I loved the first one, and enjoyed the second one. I was really impressed with what I saw in the demo...

I am one of the guys who has 2 Xbox 360s and had an original Xbox, but never had a PS2 or PS3 (I do have a Vita). I preordered the PS4, and not the XBone. Dead Rising for the XBOne looked really intruiging to me, but other than that, none of the exclusives for either system were anything that really made me say I need this system over that system. For the most part, I will probably just be getting multiplatform games. Of everything I saw yesterday, I go: The Division, Watchdogs, Destiny, ...

"Considering Kaz and Cerny love the gaming industry I seriously doubt they'd ever implement anything related to any form of DRM. We'll see at E3!"

You might be right. I never said they would do it. Only that they can do it.

"The ONLY way to use DRM is to have a connection to the internet, somehow(which you just supported, rather than refuted). And the PS4 never NEEDS to be connected, so how could they implement DRM?

Incorrect. One of the few positives they have released is that the whole family can be part of one account now. It would be one sub for the family of up to 10 (don't know if there will be a price change). Each person would get their own account information, achievements, friends lists, etc., but the other people on that list (possibly only one at a time as the wording was kind of vague) would be able to play your game on a different console logged in as themself instead of you.

What if they don't require the system to ever go on-line, but still impliment DRM? If they have a fee of 10 dollars to play a game that was used previously. Yes if the person who owned it first has NEVER gone on-line since before they installed the game, the next person would get around paying the DRM fee. But would you buy a game from a stranger if you were unwilling to pay that fee? How would you know they never went on-line? Are you willing to never going to go online again until ...

"but then if the person selling it had never been online, again it would be impossible for the machine to know the game was second-hand."

Its not impossible. If they include a code in the manual that you need to go online (not on your PS4, just on the internet to a DRM website) and enter the code, and it gives a code back to you to enter the PS4 before you can play the first time, it could get blocked. Its complicated, and I am not saying they WILL do it, but it...

That is factually not correct. There are still ways they can use DRM, even if the system is never required to go online. It just won't be the same method as XBox One.

A) They could implement DRM where when you do take the system online, it checks your games and will block them from sale. (This would mean in order to avoid DRM, you would NEVER take your system online).

B) They could have some kind of code in your manual that you need to enter into t...

By my thought process, the surprise must be a franchise that has never been on the Xbox 360 before. A new IP could not be guessed, and wouldn't be a surprise. Every franchise from the 360 has already been guessed, and again wouldn't be a surprise. A true surprise would be a Zelda or Mario game, although that won't happen. If I had to guess a single game, I'd guess I would speculate Star Craft. We already know Diablo is coming, but if they could have somehow translated sta...

Since I have 2 360s, I am hoping for something really cool at E3 now. But I have to say, when you tell someone there will be a big surprise at a certain time, it invites wild speculation, some of which is always bigger than the surprise that is delivered. That leads to disappointment, that might not have been there if people hadn't been expecting a surprise. Think the ending to the show Lost, people had built up the ending into mythic proportions, expecting a big surprise, then the vas...

Who said its an Exclusive? Maybe it is a game that was previously only PS3? As far as I know, they have no relation with Naughty Dog or Sucker Punch, but what if he is talking about now that they did get Fuse, what if they also get Rachet and Klank? I would be surprised (although not super exited as I am not really interested in R & C)

"Such an exaggeration. I haven't had to go an entire 24hours without internet for the last 2 years. I'm sure it will happen at some point in the future, and I'm sure I'll find anther way to occupy that one day. Also some games make their stake on online play, are they also a waste of money?"

While the 24 hour check on its own may not affect most people on a normal day, the problem is if the microsoft service gets attacked. XB1 doesn't just nee...
