Why are you people disagreeing with me? Giant Bomb IS reporting it!!!!! You are disagreeing with a fact. The fact is Giant Bomb is reporting it.
Apparently, Giant Bomb is reporting that Microsoft has decided to remove the game restrictions and 24 hour check-in. I wonder how that will affect both the relationship with Gamestop and the family share plan?
This is good news, but before I consider switching my pre-order from PS4 to XB1, I need to know the following (some have already been asked in the thread):
Can publishers opt out of family sharing?
Does naming someone to your family mean everyone else who is in your family also must add that person to your family?
Similarly, does naming someone to your family mean you must also add everyone else in that person's family?

"Overall, this year’s E3 was one of the most pleasant events in years. There was no little to any annoying crap like so many E3’s in the past. No embarrassing stage demos with awful actors, no Skittles impersonators, no kids, no motion-sensing waggling action, and no boring sales figures for the investors. This year was focused on games and consumer freedom, and in those two areas the show definitely delivered."
I think the author forgot about the Sony Pictures gu...
I am not saying you are right or wrong, but asking how you know this? Everything I have ever seen says 'We haven't released the details yet.' If there is a place that says it is as simple as selecting 10 friends, I'd like to read it.
I just re-read the press release, and I was wrong, the one time transfer to a friend is for disc based games, not all games. So I need to own up on that. The only benefit on XB1 digital purchases is the family share circle, not the 1 time transfer.
I still like the idea of the family share plan, if it is the way IGN, Forbes, and Reddit have said. When I first read the share plan, I thought it would litterally only apply to the people in your home family, and it would wo...
The article states "both companies are focusing heavily on non-transferrable online purchases with this generation."
I thought Microsoft was still making online purchases transferable once, as long as the person you are transfering to has been on your friends list for a month. Plus you can share your on-line purchases with the people in your 'family' share plan (still haven't clarified the exact details of that plan, so it is yet to be seen who and ho...
I almost always play games like this solo, but I want to actually try the multiplayer a little bit and see how it works out. I heard in an interview that they were planning on doing some unique things with matching people up with you. They were saying they would get some information about you (age, times you are available to play, play style) and try and match you up with other similar people. Who knows if they will get all of that implemented and get it to work, but they said that was the...
A lot of people slept on this one during E3, but I am really looking forward to this one. Looks like two parts Dark Souls, one part Witcher, and just a touch of Metroid style secrets. And if the screen shots I saw were to be believed, the game's art style is amazing.
Personally, I am going to choose between Need For Speed: Rivals and The Crew for my race game purchase (wish if I had foresight into which was more likely to get to PS Plus so I could buy the other). Both of those look more up my alley than Forza or Drive Club, but since I will get Drive Club for free with PS Plus that automatically moves it over Forza.
Do you have to pay for a UStream account to broadcast? I don't know about their service.
I loved Dragon's Dogma. Very fun RPG with a mix of Old-school and New School. If you are an RPG fan its worth checking out.
I thought what they showed was a CGI trailer (kind of like the Sunset Overdrive trailer in the MS conference)
The thing about the Gaikai streaming of old PS2 and PS3 games. Have they ever said if this would be free? I can see them giving it for free, I can see them giving it free to PS+ members only, I can see them only letting you stream games you had on your PSN account, I can see them charging on a game-by-game basis so you would still have to buy a game and then could play it, and I can see them using it as a netflix streaming style subscription service.
Much like many of the M...
So you consider listing the pluses and minuses of both consoles trolling? I thought I was providing legitimate discussion, looking at things from both sides, and not saying anything inflammatory at all...the exact opposite of trolling.
I currently have 2 xbox 360s and a PS Vita (never had a PS3 or PS2), but I preordered a PS4 after weighing the pros and cons of each system for my needs.
That being said, there certainly were some good reasons to by an Xbox One. If the family circle thing is really the way IGN, Forbes, and a few other sites are saying, and you can really share your games with any 10 friends, that is huge, and really outweighs the drm for me (although I am still not convinced it will work the...
The reason I am doubting it (although IGN is also reporting this so maybe it is correct, but I still haven't seen anything officially clarifying from MS)
When I read the announcement, the impression I got was that you could put your family on your gold account and thus part of your family list. Everybody would then be tied to you on your gold account: Basically, like my son and wife would get access through my gold account. I never got the impression that me already as ...
I really thought there would be a price cut for the PS3, but not only didn't it happen, it seems it won't happen. They announced at E3 that the Grand Theft Auto V PS3 would be $299, just like the legacy bundle, and the God of War bundle. That doesn't come out until September. Why would anyone buy a PS3 for $300 when you can buy a PS4 two months later for $400?
Sony had a great E3, but it certainly wasn't flawless, like some have said. I thought that GTA ...
Yeah...I am very skeptical about that. If I were going to share with 10 people, I know I would choose, my brother-in-law and my best friend. However, my best friend wouldn't choose to share with my brother-in-law,which would throw a huge loop in the process. I don't think you can pick 10 friends the way he said. I think he is printing misinformation.

Microsoft to Pull Complete Reversal on Xbox One DRM Policies
by Patrick Klepek on June 19, 2013
Sources indicate Microsoft is going to move away from what's caused the company so much headache.
The tug-of-war between Microsoft and Sony just got more interesting. Multiple sources inform me Microsoft will announce what amounts to a complete reversal on its DRM policies for Xbox One today.
What does this...
