unfortunately after dx 10.1 and the stance most PC developers are taking on Windows 8. I doubt anything serious is made with 11.1 in mind.

An fps can be esport oriented. See cs. However a game that's only designed to last a year will never succeed in esports. There's absolutely no point to scrimming or memorizing maps when you can't work your way up the ladders, for example going from CAL-O to CAL-IM/M/P in a year. cod will never blow up like starcraft or league of legends which is what their trying to push.

But the gaming web sites out there are kept afloat by advertising. In no way is this illegal so when you see 3 different ign articles promoting blackops 2 on n4g. It becomes painfully obvious that blackops advertisements cost Activision a pretty penny

Their next step should be to seriously consider what they want to do with season passes. Arma 2 sold another 1+ million at 29.99 2 years after it released because of a single mod.
