You gotta remember. Nobody bought into ME or Vista. I only upgraded to 7 for dx10 11 and better x64 supported software. There is no new industry standard on the horizon in the next 5 years at least so Windows 8 is just an afterthought for me.
I imagine the same goes for many other pc gamers. Blizzard and Valve pretty much control the future of pc gaming. If they decide they aren't supporting Win8 then I simply stick with 7 it's as simple as that.

there's actually nothing wrong with Radeons. the physx argument has been bulletpoint feature for many many years and has gone nowhere. In fact Nvidia downplayed DX11 development so that multiplat ports could get the physx treatment.
You could say AMD pushed for innovation while Nvidia chose mediocrity. However Nvidia knows their shit when it comes to making high performing cards so go with whatever you set your budget at and go over benchmarks.

This approach to presenting games on pc isn't new but was more than likely a result of how much Battlefield 3 stole the show last year. After they were showered with awards this will continue until the next-gen consoles start making appearances. By then it'll be "look at what this console is capable of" buzz.

actually BIS uses the FADE drm. IMO one of the most frustrating and difficult DRM's to bypass. Search the popular torrent sites and read the comments you may see some that claim to bypass FADE but the comments always tell another story.

The game that shot up to #1 on my radar is Watch Dogs. Let's see how Ubisoft rides this positive momentum.
nah chuk is right watch dogs is the IP gaming needs right now. It's the first evolutionary step into next-gen. Last of US looks to be like a good story sure but Watch Dogs looks to be a good game.
Im genuinely happy for Activision. More incentive for them to jump on the mobile bandwagon after CoD dies and not ruin another genre.
