I can't wait for the Witcher 2. The original was awesome in so many ways and this looks to be an improvement and progression.
And that type of game-loss, as a punishment for death, does sound insane.
Scrooged is an awesome Christmas flick and Bill Murray is the man.
Medal of Honor is a great game and needs to be removed from these damn lists. It's probably 2010's most UNDERAPPRECIATED game.
Solid assumptions except for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Bethesda has stated that Skyrim has been under development for well over two years and probably longer. Another 11 months should be sufficient to at least get the title to their normal release standards; a bit glitchy, yet tantalizingly fun and completely immersive.
A day one buy for me, btw.
I'm not going to pass judgment until I have played the game myself. Bioware has a great track record for improving games in a series (look at Mass Effect 2 compared to the original), so I give them the benefit of the doubt.
Separately, why is that every time a dev announces changes to a series everyone is so resistant? Sure, plenty of sequels have been terrible, but many have been awesome as well.
I think this is a great gen for a new Elder Scrolls.
First off, a series as awesome as Bethesda's flagship Elder Scrolls deserves as large an audience as possible, something hard to do when a new gen is launching. By launching toward the latter part of this gen they are reaching an install base, with PS3, 360, and PC combined, of WELL OVER 100 million. That's the kind of numbers a series of this caliber deserves.
Second, scalability is everything, ...
I'm thrilled Skyrim is NOT an MMO, however, I would enjoy the ability to wander the world with a buddy via online. That could be a great time.
I doubt it will happen, but it would be cool.
I've had absolutely zero problems since the patch, although I'm sure some have.
Bring on the Disagrees for just being honest about my personal experience! How dare I, right? How dare I just be honest?
Hell yes! This is a great tactical game and all it has been missing is an online component. Good news.
I've said it before & I'll say it again; MEDAL OF HONOR IS A GREAT FREAKIN' GAME.
Yup, I've played dozens of great shooters like Killzone 2, the Halo series, the COD series, BBC2, Resistance Series, etc... and Medal of Honor stands amongst them. It is ridiculous that this game is so under appreciated.
Good to see some solid scores for this title. Two World's had so much potential and I'm glad to see the sequel living up to what could have been.
I'm excited for this one.
Nice! Resistance is my MOST ANTICIPATED game for 2011.
That or just be a big complainer about a surprisingly honest and candid piece. Way to bring that Positive energy! ;)
A shockingly honest list. Typically these things are as biased as a college football fan, but this one was good, even pointing out that public unpopularity doesn't mean a company isn't raking in the money. Damn you Activision.
I'm thoroughly enjoying both Black Ops and Medal of Honor on my PS3. In fact, a few million others are enjoying Black Ops and Medal of Honor on PS3 as well.
I've onlyencountered two of the problems mentioned; mics not showing in lobbies and a few instances of "disconnected due to transmision error." Not nearly as much hassle as this article says.
This is a little on the flamebait, get my site hits side, especially putting it on the ge...
No Game I look forward to more. Period.
I'm FAR more interested in the amount of fun I am going to have with this game for months to come.
Seriously, my best friends and I have played the last three CoD's together and had months worth of competitive fun.
Best games ever? Of course not. Great time for me and the guys? Hell yes. That is what I am most interested in.
So that would be $50 for PS+ and $16 monthly for my current Netflix subscription (I can have multiple Blu-ray discs out at once). Why would I want yet another paid subscription?
Some may very much enjoy Hulu plus. My wallet and I, however, say "no thanks."
Way to convince me not to buy your mag...and I love my PS3.
@ BeOneWithTheGun
Clever analogy. Yup, there are always elitists and there are always angry fanboys.
As for this total flamebait article...way to make an already ugly thing a little worse. The writer of this thing could have at least taken the time to say, at the start, that SOME PC Gamers do these things and/or act this way, not all of them.
The writers will, of course, then say, "Hey, this was all in fun!" Even then, doesn't...
