I'm guilty of the early reload as well. Some of those pointers were actually pretty good.
One of the better Black Ops articles I have seen in a while.
I'm just glad I put that 320 gig HDD in my PS3. I have about 65 demos and full games on there and still have aout 200 gig free.
And yes, the 15 or so Gigs DC Universe took up was HUGE. Fun game though.
With more dx11 games coming out I'm thinking of upgrading from my ATI Radeon 4850 to something more hefty.
That will be fun :) (and not even super expensive! thank goodness!)
The Resistance Series is one of my absolute favorites. Ever. Not surprised to see that Insomniac was already getting great performance out of the PS3 two years ago.
Kudos to Insomniac.
I'm NOT modding. Just like the author says, I'm too supportive of the game industry to steal software through a modded PS3.
@Yi-Long - Remember, modding your PS3 isn't only screwing Sony, it's also screwing every dev whose game you steal. Dev's like Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and countless others, WHO ARE NOT THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM YOU FACE, will suffer. So...why should Naughty Dog suffer because Sony makes you mad?
Looks like an excellent mod. I hope it becomes available soon so I can use it on my own copy of Morrowind.
I find these "open letter" game complaints rather ridiculous. It's basically getting up on a soap-box and whining in public. The sense of entitlement in the game community is amazing. Can you imagine people writing "open letters" because the movie "Little Fockers" doesn't live up to the quality of "Meet the Parents?" The guy in this "letter" says that he was well aware of the general negative consensus regarding TFU2. He bought it any...
I disagree with Ubisoft's "constant connection" form of DRM, but the willingness of consumers to steal from them, and computer game devs in general, forces an increase in draconian measures of control that make gaming more difficult for everyone.
I work in a technical field for a small business I helped start. If potential customers started stealing from us in large numbers rather than buying our product legitamately, we would (sadly) be forced to make things...
Agreed. Gaming should be open to everyone. Remember the blind Kid that managed to beat Zelda: Ocarina of Time a few years ago? Turns out that human beings, even when facing unique challenges, are capable of amazing things.
I'm surprised at the titles not included. To each their own, of course.
Anyway, the PC Games I'm most looking forward to in 2011 (no particular order):
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (hope it isn't pushed back!)
Dragon Age II
Witcher 2
Rage
I'll be getting both. I'm more interested in the Resistance story-line, particularly post-Nathan Hale, and the fact that it has a co-op campaign, but Killzone 3 is still going to be a good time.
We all win on this one.
He deserves every bit of punishment and more. Stealing - because that is what pirating comes down to - is morally wrong. I wish the same to all software pirates.
As someone on Kotaku said, "Nationwide wasn't on his side."
Some good predictions, some bad, but the genitals prediction is awesome :)
I will be surprised if Apple produces a console. There is already stiff competition in that realm while they already dominate others, like mobile phones/devices, where there is plenty of future room to expand. Why spend tons just to compete with others in a crowded market when other markets are just coming to fruition for them? Expect Apple to expand it's efforts to combat Windows gaming (rather th...

Expect Apple to expand it's efforts to combat Woindows gaming (rather than releasing a console) by making an ever greater amount of PC games available on Mac. ...
I personally don't judge games based on the past of their respective series. Turns out that great devs can put out crappy games and that traditionally bad devs can suddenly put out something great. Even more, a game can be upgraded post-release by the same devs and make the game go from pretty good to awesome. The Witcher is an example of this.
Anyway, to each their own. I will personally wait and see how each game performs before deciding to pass or play.
I'm personally most thrilled for KZ3, Dragon Age II (but I'll prob get that one on PC) and Resistance 3. Gonna be a good year!
Gaming on PC AND CONSOLE can be easy. Serivices like Steam make PC gaming as easy as downloading the game and clicking "Play."
And yes, I bought the Steam version for $7.50 yesterday. :)
And.....GO!! Here come a whole ton of COD hate comments.
But really, if you don't like it, just don't buy it. Is it really necessary to come out from under all those bridges and hate on this game over and over? Like I said: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T BUY IT. No complaining or trolling necessary. Let those that want to play it be able to view articles about the COD series in peace without 50 irate rants.

Awesome Vid! I loved seeing the art inspiring the game. Interesting to see Mammoths!
Can't wait.
