I've said it before and I 'll say it again; 3D is overrated and YES, I OWN AND LOVE A PS3.

Valve is a great company. They admit what they do wrong and work harder than most to do things right.

ON top of their newfound respect for PS3, Steam has been a great, reliable, cheap source of PC and Mac gaming goodness for me.

Rock on, Valve

Interesting. Hopefully full 3D will be implemented on every platform by the time we can pick Crysis 2 up on store shelves. Sadly, I do have a sinking suspicion that the console versions will simply have an improved version of what is currently being used, as suggested by these quotes from the piece:

"You're actually right, the demo still uses an outdated stereo implementation which has very little depth," Crytek's Jens Schaefer told us.

Stealth, sp1deynut just owned you. Yes, owned, publicly.

Wow! Another "Call of Duty isn't original" article! How original, how fresh! Nobody has ever thought to call each subsequent COD installment a rehash before, right?

And that is the irony. These opinion pieces rant about the lack of originality in the COD series...and completely ignore that 100 other articles have already discussed this in 2011 alone.

I pray there will never be a single format. That's all we need, a single, iron-fisted Hardware conglomerate that never has to worry about competition or quality. Being our only option, we either accept what they give or us or go without. Grab your ankles, everyone.

Continuing the though, exactly how is that a good thing for anyone, devs, consumers, publishers, etc...?

As for fanboys...judas, who cares? Let them rant, let them rave. I'm still gonna g...

I personally don't want to see a PS4 or Xbox 720 until 2013 at the earliest. I'm thoroughly enjoying this gen and feel that there is bigger and better yet to come on current console hardware, particularly PS3 and PC (as it is always upgradeable).

A few more years this gen would be good for both the industry and consumers. It gives devs more time to perfect and profit from games and continually lowering prices benefit consumers.

This opinion piece surprised me. I thought is was going to be nothing but whining....except that I have had the same concerns the writer had!

The bright colors? Gone
Freedom to name and "be" my character? Gone
Point of View Freedom? Lessened, no "downward facing" camera.
Tactical nature? Likely simplified to broaden console appeal.

I do, however, look forward to the supposedly much improved combat and movement a...

The idea that being an early adopter is bad is NOT universally true. Being an early PS3 adopter (right after the first price drop and during a sale) I got the original 60 gig for $400 brand new. I love it because it has four USB ports, multiple card slots, and FULL BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY. My PS3 (now expanded to 320 gig) was a great early adoption.

On the other hand, several friends spent big bucks on the first iPhones. They then upgraded to the 3GS, again for extra $$. ...

Excellent points. A billion dollars in sales on one digital distribution platform alone? Digital distribution is the future whether we like it or not.

I simply look at myself as an example. I still buy plenty of PS3, 360, and Wii games on disc, but I also purchase just as many games from PSN and Live. As for PC, nine out of every 10 PC games I buy is digital.

Continuing that thought, I almost never buy CD's anymore, and Netfl...

I've been loving both the Beta and the Demo.

In fact, the Killzone 3 demo is one of the only Demos I have ever played FOUR TIMES.

This is gonna be a good time, my friends.

I'd like to be a werewolf in Skyrim.

I don't know where that suggestion came from, but it would be effing sweet.

I'm not surprised. Any PC multiplayer game worth anything features dedicated servers.

I wish more console games would have the same. As a console and PC gamer I would love to see more PC-like in-game stability in what are otherwise quality console titles.

I agree with this article. The demo was better than I anticipated...by far.

Wow. That was quite informative.

This does help explain why sometimes I feel "faster" and others "slower," especially through the eyes of killcam. Last night, seven games in a row, I averaged a 3 to 1 kill to death. Today I got owned right off the bat. After watching theater mode between the games I could tell that last night I was generally the host and today, while playing split screen multiplayer which slows the console even more, I was certainly no...

It's only a matter of time until COD: Future Warfare comes out. There are just too many possibilities once you step into what could be, rather than focusing on what is. Activision will want to take advantage of that.

It could be fun IF done right.

hennesey86, that Kinect Sports comment was awesome!

As far as Crysis on PC, i'm fairly confident that Crysis 2 will look good on every platform, and truly shine on PC. Having played through Crysis and Crysis Warhead on PC, I'm probably going to have to stick with that Platform for the sequel.

Ha! I'm sure the 3DS will be an awesome system and provide great entertainment value. However, whether Nintendo likes it or not, it is directly competing with a huge array of devices that allow mobile gaming. With so many options, the average consumer needs to compare ALL the aspects of a potential purchase, battery life, visual processing, and resolution included.

Good for Sony. I'm not opposed to modding, I'm opposed to creating a mod or hack that enables piracy...AND THEN MAKING IT PUBLIC TO THE WORLD. Even if you don't pirate personally, giving that ability to others you know will use it that way is still morally reprehensible.
