Playing videogames drunk is always a riot.
Best of all, if you are gaming drunk rather than out at the bar/club you don't have to worry about a Designated Driver. Get smashed, game, and be safe.
I think the title says it all, and Kudos to Sony's PS3 for generating the most Revenue of ANY Platform. Anyway I love gaming on console, but how does that mean PC is dead?
With literally millions playing Facebook games alone, how is PC gaming as a platform doing nothing but grow?
Steam is growing in leaps and bounds...because PC gaming is dying? How does that work?
The fact that growth is possible - and probable - on most current platfo...
Actually, Sony, like any other major corporation, has Staff attorneys. Literally, they constantly have a team of attorneys on salary as full time employees. These attorneys handle the many cases that aren't typically publicized. The only difference this time is that these are the kind the public is interested in.
Their attorneys were likely already on the salary long before these cases.
This article is deceptive on several points.
First, installs are relatively rare. Having owned over 25 games for my PS3 this gen only five have required an install of any kind. !/5 isn't bad, but this piece makes it sound like virtually every PS3 game requires an install which is deceiving.
Second, the article said "Black Ops is so hacked that you can't take two steps without being affected by some rogue exploitation glitch" and that...
Ahhh...nothing sells like sex, drugs, and rock n' roll.
And yes, there are many excellent family friendly titles that shouldn't be ignored. For example, the Mario Galaxy series is excellent. However, Stomping a goomba is rarely as satisfying as blasting that annoying guy on the other team with a rocket launcher. But I digress...less "offensive" titles deserve more love.
Edit: And apparently nobody agrees with me that family Friendly titl...
Having played the demos on all plats the PS3 is getting the shaft.
That is stupid, btw. Come on Crytek! Look how awesome KZ3 and Uncharted 2 look!
The big question: Did Crytek really give each platform everything they could?
Hopefully...but I have doubts.
It makes me sad to say it, but the more I see of Crysis 2 the more I think PS3 is getting the shaft. And that is bullshit. All this talk of every platform being the same from Crytek you would think differently.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Crysis and Crysis Warhead. I was just hoping to see them do better with the consoles.
Not the end of the world, but I still dislike installs. If Killzone 3 and Uncharted 2 can look and run so well without an install I would think other games could try and match them.
Loading behind cut-scenes is an acceptable practice. So is temporarily caching data to draw upon during gameplay.
Genius.
I think more companies should point out how ridiculous Video Gamers can be, particularly when fanboys act like game companies owe them something in a game.
It's funny to see people Rant and Rave endlessly about features missing from games. They RAGE and BITCH...and fail to realize that nobody owes them a damn thing in this industry.
From Halo to COD to Resistance, from WoW to Shogun, these devs owe us nothing. If we like their pr...
I'm glad Microsoft is planning some kind of action. Obviously banning might be extreme, but something else. Take a month off their Live subscriptions?
Something not too huge but still bold.
All of this is good news. Glad to see Sony so proactive.
The industry is pretty healthy right now.
Me too. Insomniac is one of the best debs in the industry.
I wish gamers would reserve judgment until after first hand experience. It's one thing to have a concern or question after a trailer, another to pass final judgment.
Like I said before, impressive. 133,000 units a day (average) for the first 60 days.
I don't own Kinnect, but the feat is impressive. I like to see the game industry economically healthy.
Still gonna play my games. Impotent or not! ;)
Ya, that is funny. I love Oblivion, but I had to pass on that one.
As for DLC, the value walks a thin line. The shivering Isles, for example, didn't exist when Obivion first came out. It was a huge DLC expansion and was worth consumer $$. The horse armor, however, was terrible, and so it goes with any game.
Achievements and Trophies do NOT influence my decision to buy a game or any associated DLC. They are fun to get, but not a determining feature by...
Sweet! I'm SERIOUSLY looking forward to a new Motorstorm. Can't wait to try the demo tonight. :D
Impressive. I don't own Kinnect, but that is an impressive feat of sales so quickly. Even more impressive is that it is the "fastest selling consumer electronics device" within a 60 day period (the first 60 days from launch) according to Guinness Book of World Records.
Nice to see the continued economic health of the Video Game industry.
I'm not surprised. My Wii goes months at a time without be turned on. Only when a great title comes out am I interested. Then I will play through that title and once again, unintentionally ignore my little Nintendo console that could.
A lot of super high scores. I mean SUPER high. Average that list of scores out and they are over 8.2. Either a whole slew of excellent games came out last month or they are just feeling generous.
Glad to see it shaping up beautifully.
The question for me:
Should I rock Crysis 2 on PC or PS3? I'm having a hard time deciding. It will look, perform, and controll better on my gaming PC, but more of my friends will be playing on PS3 and I can trade some games toward it and buy it cheaper on Sony's platform as well.
Decisions, decisions.... I figure either way I win...but which way is THE way?
