So... how many of you actually read the content of the review? I'm just curious, because you are making it seem like I panned the game.
An 8.8 isn't a bad score. Hell, it's not even a "good" score. It's a GREAT score.
You want to know why a lot of reviewers don't use the full scale? Just read a few of these comments. In my opinion, there is something wrong with the shooting and aiming in the game, even with the sensitivity turned...
You are entitled to your opinion about MW3. Why on Earth would I change my score to reflect your opinion, though?
Actually, I wrestled with the scores for a long time. I think it's hard to compare MW3 and Uncharted 3. They are different types of games offering different play experiences.
The reason I ended up putting forward the scores I did was because of one simple question, "How well does the game achieve what it is trying to do?"
Right now, the shooting is so sluggish in Uncharted 3 that it harmed the game experience *for me*. I loved the game. The sto...

Lots of craziness.
While I disagree about this being a revamp, the most important thing is that you are having fun with it. My opinion is just that: mine. One person's opinion should never stand in the way of another's enjoyment.
Our reviewer really enjoyed the game. His is one opinion. Just because you disagree with him, doesn't make him wrong.
Honestly, if you can't make your own purchase decision based on all of the reviews out there, I'm not sure what to tell you. Our reviewer pointed out the strengths and weaknesses (in his opinion, of course) and even addressed the changes from Beta.
If you are looking for someone to tell you "go and buy this" you aren't going to find that. Reviews are meant to advise, not be proxies for your own decision making.
Did you read the review? There is a lot there to help guide your decision, but if you really want us to make all your purchase decisions for you, I'd be glad to tell you where you can send your credit cards.
It all depends on what you are looking for in a game. We don't know you, what games you like to play and what games you absolutely hate. How could we possibly tell you if it's worth it for YOU to buy?
Thank you for posting this. Appreciate you helping to stem the angry tide.
That junk is my man-parts. Do they not teach kids about the human body in school anymore?
Either you have played it and you disagree, which is your right, or you have not played it and are simply going by other review scores.
If it is the former, then you need to pay attention to two things. First our review scale is clearly detailed on our website. In case you didn't actually go and read the review or look at our guidelines, I'll help you out:
6.0 – 6.9 (Decent)
These games are fun but still miss something that makes them stand ou...
Hey remember that .13 guy? I bet he disagrees with us giving it an award.
Thanks! You might notice that we gave it our first "Dad Approved" award.
I don't think it's GOTY material, no. But rated against its competition and considering its target audience, there is NOTHING better out there.
Once Upon a Monster is a charming, wonderful, engaging and FUN game for the target audience. Will it compete against Batman, MW3, Gears, Uncharted, Dark Souls, etc for GOTY? Not a chance.
Oddly, no one seems to have a problem that the story/character from the original release of DR2 nor the paid demo prequel or epilogue were included. Well... except me, I guess. This is just starting to be the kind of stuff that Capcom is known for.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you liked the review. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
So, just to be clear, your point is that PC games look better than console games? Um. Yes. They do.
That does not negate the enjoyability of this game on consoles or the fact that it does a lot with the hardware resources. It doesn't diminish the design of the game and it certainly doesn't impact the sound design.
Your comment has nothing to do with the review or the game on the console. Yeah, if you have a PC that you use for gaming and you LIKE to ...
I didn't mean to imply skepticism, just that you played it through start to finish in one sitting. :)
He did. Played through it in one sitting, which is a testament to how enjoyable it was (his words, not mine).
I'm commenting on the piece because commenters often forget that there are real people behind the reviews. I had hoped that giving some insight into my process would help alleviate the concerns.
In short, I had hoped to engage in a conversation about my review, not defend it.
