I would hug that. So darn cool. Can we get a voice chip installed that makes it sing?
The older we get, the more I believe that gaming can help us understand other aspects of our lives.
Can you explain what you mean? Because I'm not sure what you're getting at.
I've often feared this. It's held me back from purchasing digital comics, and I've always preferred retail over digital.
I'm not sure about that. I had LOTS of issues with the game, but everything about it was designed to poke at the Fable nostalgia centers of the brain.
In fact, it seems that aesthetic and presentation trumped game play during the design process.
Having reviewed it on the 360, I'm eager to see how it plays out on the PC/Mac. Good writeup!
And Mortal Kombat fans with PS Vitas!
The issue with XBLA/PSN development is twofold: certification and publishing. Both platforms require that there be a publisher involved. For those developers that don't have one, Microsoft and Sony may step in and help, but those deals are hard to come by.
Certification is also costly, from what I've been told.
One of the things that interests me (and I'll be speaking with them tomorrow) is how Gambitious will be setting itself up. There has been ...
I'm very excited to give this a try finally. Thanks for the tips!
Lots of great options in this list... I wonder if they'll all hear crickets chirp on May 15.
It seems that many people here are leaping to react to commenters rather than the actual piece... just want to point out that you don't even need to click through to see that you are falling into the trap that I'm trying to caution against.
"Now, we largely have the same games to play with simultaneous day and date releases (with red blood for all!) and people still spend time complaining on message boards rather than actually enjoying the entertainment." <...
I'm talking about widespread support for x-platform play. I'm not ignoring the few games on one of the two major systems that support kb/m.
In my opinion, though, they are the anomalies. The infrequent title supporting that control scheme doesnt mean we have a solution and it's barely a start.
In my piece, I talk about manufacturers encouraging widespread support of kb/m and how it will help.
I've thought out my points... ha...
What kills me is that in a piece about finding a way to move past the console wars, it seems that many of the people rushing to comment are just fanning the flames.
How about talking about ways we can all play together and enjoy the experiences the way we want to?
The derogatory comments, the flame baiting and the sweeping generalizations aren't helping... they are just sinking the discourse into the quicksand. Step back for a second, read the piece, th...
While the upgrade issue will remain up for debate, it isn't the focus of my piece. In fact, zeroing in on that singular issue is exactly the kind of thing I'm trying to help move the discussion beyond.
Licensed music can be hit or miss (hello, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within). When it's good, though, it can absolutely enhance the experience.
I agree, it's the one thing that will always separate the two spheres. I hope that the way I addressed it in the piece made sense.
I think if I were a hardcore PC gamer, my wife would kick my butt out the door for constant upgrade OCD.
There are, unfortunately, a lot of people who are looking for a chance to claim the sky is falling.
If anything the market is *changing*, which is different than saying that one medium is killing another.
What we will see, over the long term, is people the age of my children feeling more comfortable investing in a new tablet rather than a console. But that's also probably two life-cycles away.
The point is that there *is* some canibaliz...
Wow. That's just... Wrong.
I really like the Frank Miller art style. Disappointed to hear that the game is another "Angry Man Adventures" though.
Mixed feelings. More content? Awesome. Later? Boo. At least it's for a good reason. :)
