Congrats to the winners!!
All you need to do is look at when they were submitted... unless there are even more duplicates out there.
Actually, the other one is the dupe. I submitted 10 min before he/she did.
There are unethical ways to poach employees and, more importantly, if one company regularly induces employees to violate non-compete or non-solicit clauses, it causes a hardship.
I *need* Torchlight because after just having played Alan Wake, I am naturally attracted to anything that produces light... and pretty graphics... and a well-designed control scheme that smoothly transitions the port from PC to 360.
Mostly I just *need* the awesomeness. :)
I'm pretty sure that you have to activate the PC/Mac Steam copy *through* the PS3. So, this might work for those PC owners that have a PS3... unless the copies are going to be console-locked by code like DCUO was.
I'm glad your article got approved. I'm not sure why you took my reporting so personally, or blocked me from having a conversation with you about it.
I tried to have a dialog with you about it and, rather than allow me to respond to your concerns, you blocked me. I particularly found the accusation that I am an Apple-hater quite humorous, especially as I type this on my iMac with an iPhone in my pocket and my iPod charging in front of me.
As I mention...
I haven't dipped into the forums too much yet, but I've contributed stories, commented a bit, and done a bunch of approving/reporting of stories.
Really excited! Thanks N4G and Cat!!!!
Awesome! Thanks for this, Cat!
Great minds... :)
People said the same thing about Torchlight.
Dante, Ryu and Iron Man or Spidey.
You got burned on one game and that makes it ok? I understand being ticked off at a bad purchase (heck, Gamefly built a marketing campaign around it), but using it as a justification to steal doesn't make any sort of sense.
I get that you don't care. That's fine. Just don't defend it because of one bad game. Heck, if that were the case, anyone who ever played E.T. for Atari or Superman 64 would be entitled to pirate.
Neat. This looks like a fantastic party game and, while I wouldn't be surprised if they get hurt in reviews for not having an online mode, I respect the choice.
Seems like the kind of game that is best played while trashtalking the guy sitting next to you.
I'm one of those middle-of-the-road players and it's fantastic to have a game that I can pick up and play without having to invest a ton of time.
I still won't beat my friends that are hardcore fighting game lovers, but I also know that if I have someone over who has even once played a Street Fighter game, that they'll be willing to play more than a couple of matches.
The best word that I've seen to describe MvC3: Accessible.
In this day and age, it's hard to swallow justification of piracy. It's one thing to be an admitted pirate. It's another thing entirely to lie to yourself that it's acceptable.
If you're going to pirate, at least have the stones to admit that it's wrong and that you don't care.
OK. I can see the side of this that says that harsh is not the same as poor. I happen to agree with the reviewer. You don't. Fine. It's a review which, by definition, is an opinion.
I still take issue with the OP's assertion that it's either this or casual games. That's not a critical response to the review. It's just trolling and being a jerk.
Not sure how criticizing a game's poor checkpoint system and poorly scaled unlock system makes him a bad gamer.
I don't really care. Just didn't like being accused of posting a dupe story when I clearly didn't. I try to be a good community member and when my reputation is impugned like that, I take offense.
All of that said, hell's yeah we're getting a free game! :)
