"It still adds up to a curious juxtaposition: Sony drives the most value through the lowest tier of its subscription service, while Xbox saves everything for its highest. That may be bad news for SIE’s executives in Tokyo and San Mateo, but it’s great for their customers, at least"

Very pro consumer

Another game off my wishlist :)

"In the same statements about their lice service games they affirm their commitment to what they are good at."

This.

I hate when people go "Sony themselves said they are focusing on live service herp derp" but then ignore that Sony themselves said that they are in no way going to stop or diminish what they are good at and got them in the position they are now.

People pick and choose what they want to hear to fit wha...

Arkham series set the foundation for all future licensed superhero games going forward. No longer will quick movie-tie-ins be accepted. Rocksteady is legendary for that.

@Babadook7

It's from Allen Iverson's comments about practice during a post game interview.

BrainSyphoned replaced all occurrences of the word practice with trailers.

Iverson was basically trying to say that the press was making a big deal about him missing practice instead of asking/talking about the actual game(s) that matter in the win/loss column (practice is still important though!).

BrainSyphoned is basic...

Also wanted to point out:

Remember when Phil said there's no such thing as a "forever" contract when asked about the future of CoD exclusivity? Well here they are accusing their competition of having a "forever" contract that Phil said doesn't exist. Lol

The games they listed doesn't show hypocrisy though.

Yeah I'm not a SW fan but heard it's a good game and who knows, maybe I become one after playing it.

Yeah it's 10 bucks but I also won't be playing it anytime soon because of backlog so no point in buying right now when I'm not going to be playing it anyway. Will keep it on my wishlist and buy it at whatever price it is at the time I'll actually get around playing it or have it already in my collection if it comes to essential before then.

You think Microsoft let the COD marketing rights go and stopped doing 3rd party deals (they still do it by the way) because they wanted to be "nice"?

lol

MS isn't buying publishers in retaliation to tactics they created. They are doing so because they can't create any system selling IPs themselves, so they are buying established ones and taking them off other platforms.

It is what it is.

A lot of those games were new IPs at the time and not established like they are today.

Doesn't Sony own the Bloodborne IP lol?
Microsoft can't even get their own argument straight.

Edits:
FF16 is exclusive for 6 months no? 2 out the 4 that MS mentioned that doesn't help their argument at all. And I doubt that FF7 is and silent hill is exclusive "forever" unless Sony buys SE.

I haven't played Fallen Order yet so this would be good for me so I hope at least that game is true.

Microsoft has never done this?

Not only that but you can use a portable charger/power bank to charge your controller when it's on the low, no different than swapping batteries imo.

I'll be waiting for that price point as well

How much different do you expect the distribution to be for digital? It's save to assume it's similar given it's FF. . . I'd be surprised if the distribution was was significantly different for digital.

@LOGICWINS

Remember that if Microsoft pays for a 3rd party exclusive, they have to compensate for loss of sales on the PlayStation version. This does not make too much business sense for them because even if they pay up the cash, they'll likely won't move enough console units to justify the exclusive costs. This is why Microsoft shifted to day one game pass games from 3rd parties instead of exclusive deals-

(shocker I know, Microsoft didn't st...

Well, Guerilla have made multiplayer before with Killzone so this isn't exactly uncharted territory for them, although KZ2 was their only good one. Either way I wouldn't consider it a spreadsheet game or cash grab given Guerrilla's history with MP.
