Hopefully no more price increases during this bumpy 2023 especially from Microsoft since they're the most consumer friendly of the 3.
"Layoffs are pretty common during economic downturns."
So are price hikes during inflation. . . But for one you say it's common, the other you say they should eat the cost. . . I wonder why that is, surely it has nothing to do with which company is going through the circumstance, right? 😜
Interesting take from you (that I actually agree with, but you shouldn't be the one saying it). Can't Microsoft just "eat the cost" instead of affecting the lives of thousands of employees? When Sony cited the "economic downturn" as their reasoning for increasing their price, I don't remember you being this understanding. Gee I won't why? 🙄
You can't be this clueless. Buying a big publisher with well known franchises that release on all platforms since practically its inception to strip them away from other platforms is the definition of division and the opposite of uniting. It has everything to do with it.
"This whole, who sells better is the best nonsense started to get big with the 360 and PS3."
I agree that sales were not as big as it is today prior to that gen. Can you guess why it started pick up during the PS360 days?
"I hope you keep that same energy when Sony buys Square and/or Capcom 😉"
You better keep the same energy as well
"So for $300 you get a system that can run games above HZD and GoW on PS4 pro which was exceptionally well done"
If only people had this thinking when it was revealed that a $400 console would only be 2 TF less than the Series X. It only took MS releasing a weaker system for people to come to their senses.
Will probably be downgraded on the Switch. Switch version is coming after the real console and PC versions mostly likely because they have to work on what concessions will have to be make in order for it to run.
I think people are confused because MS said it was exclusive forever. It'll come after 6 months people just need to wait.

Eh, The point is they aren't taking the risk on the AAA level. Low budget/side project games are less of a risk. Microsoft are buying well established ips and studios for a reason. Stuff like Recore and Scalebound have failed them in the past. Hence why these guys are creating...
Notice how all the games you mentioned were small games that aren't expensive? Notice how the new studio being created is for a premium AAA game?
"More less owned studios the better."
Funny coming from someone defending the Activision deal.
I need 4tb to come down in price. I'm waiting for that, hopefully under $350, ideally under $300 sometime this year.
"Seems like a fair analysis. Sony first party had a banger 2022, but 2023 is pretty empty."
Lol of course now you're saying it was a 'banger' year for Sony, now that Xbox's year looks promising.
You would have agreed that this is a 'fair analysis' last year and the year before.
Whenever these discussions were had last year you would either bring up how most of the games were delayed from 2021 or how th...
No talk of getting both consoles or how a good number of Xbox's games where delayed from 2022 eh?
Before you start, I want you to remember you made it a point to bring that up whenever discussions of Xbox vs Playstation games were being had last year so naturally I expect you to do the same for Xbox this year.
Finally, it better be good.
You are just plain on hating at this point.
We get it you don't like VR, move on already. Do you really need to make your opinion known in every single VR article?
If exclusives aren't the "only thing that matters" then yes, you are saying that console manufacturers do have to release games as long as 3rd party games and whatnot release on the system.
Also, this article is saying that Xbox dominated 2022 not that it was merely successful.
I see that a lot people are saying that Sony only has 1 game for 2023. Remember this post and this article whenever you want to knock Sony for having no games next year. It's good to know that console manufacturers do not have to release games anymore for their systems.
"Xbox fans who are depending that this Activision deal be allowed must understand the ramifications it will have"
They think Sony doesn't have the money to play the "who can aquire the most publishers" game. It'll take for Sony to aquire someone like EA or Take Two for them to see why Activision acquisition is bad because then that fear of not being able to play a game on the console you have been able to all this time will set in.
"Ultimately, I don’t really hold him responsible and I won’t hold Jim Ryan responsible when Sony does the same thing. The current state of the US (and the world) is pretty bad, possibly the worst it’s been in my lifetime."
