"Not a downer - I just like my data to be accurate."
When the Series S/X was outselling the PS5 you didn't care about "accurate data" then, even arguing with people who would provide "accurate" context, saying supply constraints was the major reason with your rebuttal being that the Series was affected too by the same constraints.
Now you're on the flip side of that here for obvious reasons. We all know that COD sold ...
Yeah, Phil will some how, some way, "pull the rug from underneath the PS7." Everything he says regarding this always leaves some sort of possiblity of him being able to walk back on what he's saying now.
Yeah, Phil has already shown that he says what people want hear now, then switches up later. Most recent example being the stuff regarding price increase.
That said, this is the most encouraging statement on keeping it multiplat for the foreseeable future, but once again still leaves open the possibility of them "pulling the rug underneath PS 7's legs" with the 'there is no "forever contract"' talk. We'll see I guess.
Buying publishers is their way of competing apparently. 'If it's about competition let's have competition' is their response to Sony complaining about MS buying Activision.
"So his concern is cutting corners with regard to production costs/budget, leading to creativity being impacted."
That is not what he's saying at all. He's saying that once you have a certain level of grip in an industry that's when one has the urge to dictate stuff like pricing, costs, and profits and therefore creativity and risk-taking good down because you are more concerned with maximizing profits instead of trying to take a risk in creating the n...
Huh?
Don't get why people keep thinking that MS is the only one that can save/survive gaming in some fictional future.
So Sony does believe in generations?
I actually enjoyed the first game. I know a lot of people wanted a smash clone, but I thought the super system was good for what it was. But the whole purpose of this type of game is to play as your favorite iconic character against others imo, otherwise just make it it's own fighting game with it's own unique characters.
They shouldn't bother with another PS All-stars game unless they can get ALL the iconic characters on it otherwise there's no point imo.
These games are already on Xbox! Remember? Anyone? Lol
"Some of the same people on here are strongly against the deal, why? simply because seeing MS gain any ground and Sony losing any is absurd to their console war world"
How are games that are already on your platform, 'gaining ground'? The issue people have is that Microsoft's only way to 'gain ground' is to take away from others.
They already did or indicated that they will do all of those things
I've enjoyed my PS5 these past 4 months I've had it thus far. Far from disappointed.
@Lightning
"Ok, sure. They bought all those studios and Bethesda and you complained hard."
Them buying up Bethesda and Activision didn't change anything for their platform as those games where already there
"GEE A million dollar selling title ile GTA6 that is already paid by pre order shouldn't be put day 1 on a subscription service because it would lose sales. What a revelation"
This is what people say about Sony first parties being on Plus day one, yet they are called anti-consumer for it, so it's not as obvious of a revelation to some.
There hasn't been as much of a push for Nintendo to have their own GamePass equivalent compared to the companies which is interesting.
"That’s exactly why they’re out buying up content that already exists on their platform and taking them away from other platforms"**
Fixed.
Why attach "killer" to certain titles? It does the game no favors and only puts pressure on the games to out perform expectations to games they're being compared too. Also, Some of those games listed don't except have firm release dates and barely any footage on them, so better keep expectations in check for how 2023 may look like.
Guess you are right about co-dev vs support role because I highly doubt he'll respond to your last post.
Just proof that he has an agenda because if he didn't, he'd just admit that he's wrong in this case and move on. Instead crickets because it doesn't make his favorite gaming company look good.
He's really trying to insult people's intelligence at this point.
