My Dad is in his mid-70's, and has almost 1500 hours logged in theHunter Call of the Wild! I got him hooked back in 2019, now we play every single week together as a way of bonding since I live in Europe and my parents are back in the States. The thing is, he only plays that ONE game pretty much. I only have about 450 hours logged in that game with him, so that means he's been playing a whooole lot by himself!
If it's being used like that, then it solely exists with the intent of being an insult in that 40+ year olds are older than they actually are. There is no "boom" that correlates, unless you want to refer to us as the ones who actually experienced the Gaming Boom of the 80's. That's one I'll wear with honor. ;)

I keep seeing kids throw around the word Boomer to refer to adults in general, but "Boomers" were born between 1946 to 1964, so you're really only referring to people age 60-70 plus. "Boomer" came from the boom in the population following WW2.

I don't see the big deal of putting a warning as long as it's not censored out. I'd never support these things being completely removed or censored though. They are a product of their time, whether you like it or not, we do not censor art. We learn from it and move forward.
Man, I am absolutely heartbroken too. Suikoden 1&2 moved me like no other game had before.... even before Final Fantasy 7 ever released, Suikoden 1 was the first time a game ever made me misty eyed.
Those games are legendary. Rest in peace Yoshitaka. I wouldn't mind if they push back release even further to pay a huge tribute to him.... possibly put in a bonus character post-game with his likeness or something.

This is interesting, as I've played all of the retro Ys console games, but never this PC version. I've been on a real retro kick lately, so I'll probably pick this up. Love Ys games!
Hubris made the list in its bland combat, but no mention of MS Flight Simulator which is one of the most amazing experiences you can have in VR (if you have the rig for it).
Works as well as a launch era 360.
There's a fix coming in this week, perhaps tomorrow. The BGFG/N4G team talked about it in a few comments, they are changing Ad provider (for reasons like this).
The problem I see is that they've communicated this poorly to the community, and I've already seen people threatening to leave or outright saying they're leaving now. A simple pinned post addressing the issue would have calmed a lot of us, knowing a fix is coming shortly. I know it assured me a lot.....

The fact that they didn't bother implementing the ship boarding/raiding from Black Flag makes it feel lazy and more like an Ubisoft AA to me. I don't care if they went all out on the graphics, they skimped on what mattered, the gameplay.
